From me too, greent, all the positive vibes in the world to you.2023: the year I get to buy a car6

Thank you all for your kind wishes and thoughts and everything π₯°
Apple - you were correct- I was deep in the throes of Summer exam entries (an ever changing event!) - whilst also sorting out seating for y13 and y11 mocks starting straight after half term, starting to plan y10 and 12 exams for after Easter break, some invigilator recruitment and more training for existing invigilators and 4 days of MFL speaking mocks - and other stuff that I can't remember now!
Op was yesterday - I'm a bit sore (not too bad though - I've only taken 2 paracetamol post op - but I suspect there was some slow local anaesthetic injected in the site) but only have 1 incision instead of the expected 2 - they slightly changed the position of the incision to remove the lump and then were also able to remove some lymph nodes using the same incision- I think I may have some more bruising right now as a result- but it's one less scar and also means no incision in my armpit - meaning I can wear anti perspiring and defuse the area sooner rather than laterΒ Β which I guess is a positive!
I had a small amount of radioactive stuff injected in me yesterday morning for the node biopsy - along with some blue dye - it looks like someone has attacker my b00b with a turquoise sharpie! π - it takes a while to fade - and the downside is it makes you a hideous blue-grey colour facially when you leave - DH was somewhat alarmed when he collected me! ππ it also means that your 'waste products' are blue tinged....π³
I'm signed off work fully for 3Β weeks - and I think I will take that time, tbh. What I will most likely do during it is some online training/ cpd, as that can be broken down into 30 min chunks and forms part of my performance review this year and I'm really not sure when it's going to get done otherwise - maybe mid July!?!Β
I guess I should try and get some more sleep now... Good to hear op went well and only one incision made. Hope you are not in too much discomfort. Rest and relaxation sound like a good plan for a couple of weeks before trying some of the CPD. If any of it is similar to some I have completed, it may help you get an afternoon nap π΄!Β9

Glad to hear it went ok, and that you are going to taketh full time off. Don't fill it all with CPD though! ππ7

Glad it went well, take the time your body needs to recover x8

Good to see you post @greent. I also think you should take the full three weeks for your recovery - there is always a bit of an emotional kick after something like this and you need to be concentrating on you rather than work-based CPD. That is more suited to a fourth week at hime, if you feel you need it, iyswim.
