I had a lovely time at the weekend with the ladies. Lots of laughs, lots of cocktails and lots of cheese! Not good for my body shape or my bank balance but so necessary for my state of mind 😊

Back to the grind stone this week - off for a swim shortly before food shopping for next few days. Then work work work - the run up to exams is always so hectic! But must keep thinking of the money and putting away money ready for tax bill (I'm pretty good at that!)

I hope you are a having a lovely week ☺️

  • Tax bill is definitely one you need to stay on top of! Enjoy your swim, I used to go to a pool as part of a hotel and a lot of the time I had the pool to myself. That's closed now and I get quite panicky in a busy pool so my swims these days last all of 30 minutes before I'm either having a full blown anxiety attack or I'm frustrated to the point of spontaneous combustion :D

I know how that feels - luckily the pool I go to is quite quiet at 8.30 in the morning - I'm debating an early one tomorrow before work, but that'll mean being at the pool at 7!

Ours only has certain times for public swimming so you can't just turn up which is probably why it's so busy.  I'm an early bird so going at 7 wouldn't be an issue for me :D  Keeping my eyes open past 9:30pm is another matter entirely!

Hey all. Things going good here. I turn 40 next month and we are going to London for weekend - I'm trying to plan best way to stay there, cheap hotels etc. He has got shard voucher from Christmas and he is getting me tickets to a show for my birthday. My Grandma gave me some money for Christmas that I have been keeping so we can have a nice weekend... Just got to find cheap deals. Where is best place to look? Train looks like it might be cheaper than driving and parking...

Anyway, off for a swim now, and then to plan food for next few days. Have a good day.

  • I’d definitely do the train if you can, takes the stress away, London is terrible for driving and parking.
Have a look at Air B&B and then maybe Booking.com? Premier Inns are always a good bet as you get the good nights sleep guarantee.
