I've decided to take the marking, every little counts. Really making progress at the moment and it feels satisfying. Deciding I am going to try and not drive for two days a week to save on petrol - 4 days I have to in order to work so could be a max of 3 without moving car at the moment! Spent £20 on wool today 😬 but needed some for my blanket and teaching OHs 9 yr old daughter to crochet... and some was just pretty! Better start making some stuff! Made chick egg cosy for Easter - that'll be a good little present!

Just checked in to say my mortgages are under £100k now Well chuffed  

Shame about the other £13.5k I owe.... we'll keep plodding away. Off into town to see if I can get my boots glued. If I can, that'll save me the price of a new pair as sole is getting a bit floppy!

Congrats on the mortgage amount! I wish ours was under £100k  

Hope you can get the boots repaired, more money in your pocket if so, providing the cost of the repair is less than replacement boots...

Hi all. Managed to get my boots glued for free. They couldn't guarantee they'd last, but saves me getting a new pair for a while, so the £35 I'd started putting away instead has gone off my CC. 

Took an extra marking contract so have 145 papers to mark, hence not being online for a couple of days - probably won't be much for next few days either but it'll be extra £200 in pot. Opened up a regular saver today to sort the little amount I am building up for an emergency fund - higher interest than my other one which was only 0.4%! And I'm allowed to make withdrawals up to 4 times a year - hoping I won't need to. 

Pleased with progress so far - need to get back on prolific and need to see if I have anything else to sell... I kinda stopped with the move. Must keep ticking away. 4 no spend days this week 😊

Hi all, marking is going well - I did about 3-4 hours yesterday and will be doing same again today - needing to distract myself this week. My dad, an amazing man in his mid sixties decided last week to drive a van full of aid over to the Ukrainian border. He leaves today with van full. Driving with his friend in convoy of 13 other vans. I’m so proud, but so anxious for him. These people need our help! And dad has the time and ability to help. I just need to distract myself from the nerves! 

So off out for a run this morning 🙂 Enjoy your Sunday peeps!

Oh what a wonderful thing for your dad to do, I'm not surprised your both bursting with pride and at the same time worried for his safety.  I hope he has a safe and uneventful journey and gets back to you as soon as he can. 

Well done on the marking, just keep thinking of that extra £200

Thanks LMD! I know what he is doing is a fantastic thing... its just nerve wracking reading the news and knowing he is heading that way. 
Just redefining my goals for end of March - aiming to get total debt to £13k if possible (or as near to!) Could be possible if this marking money comes in on time!
