  • Morning, another wet and soggy one.

Pay day today woohoo! Paid £100 into hols account, £100 into savings and £100 mortgage overpayment, tried to pay £100 off CC2 but site is down so will try again later.

No car today as it's gone to the garage for it's MOT, really hope there isn't anything major and i get it back today.
Going to just potter at home and get some jobs done, already walked dogs and sorted chickens out, repeat prescription has been ordered, need to have a tidy upstairs and clean the bathroom. Going to use some overripe bananas to make banana and walnut bread, will also make some choc brownie, took a chicken out of the freezer last night and will do a roast for tea as i have potatoes and a swede that need using up. Also have some surveys to do and want to start watching the new series of Gentleman Jack on iplayer if i get chance.

Trying to focus on the little wins of saving money as everything feels overwhelming, also need to start a charity bag as there is a few items that are just not selling or worth selling so will send to chrity and at least the clutter is then gone.

    Have a good day xx

Fingers crossed for the car. Great idea to focus on the little wins, they build up eventually.

Garage has rung and car has passed MOT, there is a couple of advisories but mechanic said they are fine left util the summer hols so will get them sorted then and have booked it in for when we are away on our first summer break away, means i can just leave it with them and there is no rush.

Sun has come out so have got washing on the line and have ordered dog treats used a £10 amazon voucher so only cost 49p, both a money saving win. Also choc brownie and banana bread in the oven, didn't have any cocoa so used drinking chocolate and a bar of dark choc, sure it will taste fine.

Great news on the car. Try not to let things overwhelm you. You’re doing great. Have a lovely bank holiday.

  • Morning all and Happy long bank holiday.

Spent yesterday feeling achy and just a bit bleurgh, woke in the night coughing and it's continued, got up at 6 as i couldn't stop coughing. Spent yesterday pottering and got jobs done around the house and garden hopefully today is a bit more relaxed.
Today i need to put fuel in my car, small top up shop and pick up flea/worm medication from vets this is already paid for as i'm on a pet plan with them.

    Have a great day xx
  • After reading about others success with vinted i decided to give it a go and downloaded the app last night, listed an item that has been on ebay for months and it has sold already.

I keep hearing good things about vinted on here both buying and selling wise. I do the pet plan too, I think it’s worth it.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  • Afternoon.
Top up shop came to £52 this week, i remember when a top up shop was £20. will need to also go to lidl on Saturday, forgot vets was only open for emergencies today so didn't get flea and worming stuff, anyone else not got a clue whats going on with the days this week  :D.

I get my dog food direct from James wellbel0ved on a subscription which was due to go out yesterday, i received an email from them to say they had paused it for 24hrs as they didn't have the flavour dry food i usually buy and gave me a list of other flavours to choose from and that they would knock 20% off for the inconvenience which would save me £10, so emailed them back with the change and to complete the order. Had a confirmation email today to let me know that it had been dispatched and it showed the 20% has been taken off the entire order saving me almost £25 i'm totally made up with such brilliant customer service and such a huge saving.

Went for a nanna nap after lunch and slept for 2 hrs, feeling a bit more with it now.
  • Afternoon, cough still niggling.

Hairdresser this morning and look less like a shaggy dog, was £3 underbudget so i have sent it to CC2.
