Thanks for all your kind messages, today has been a better day.
Work has been work and I am feeling disheartened and disappointed, a meeting today was held at lunch time, we don't get paid for lunch so this was an unpaid meeting which we had to eat our lunch at as we weren't given any time back, also been told to come in 30mins early later in the week for a meeting and again unpaid, i actually wouldn't mind if i was asked but it seems those days are gone and we are just told that is what we will do. I no longer go above and beyond as it's not appreciated or acknowledged. I know of 2 members of staff that are planning on giving their notice at half term, I was also asked today how much longer i was going to stick it out for, my honest answer is i don't know.
Bill from garage £180 which has been paid and could have been much worse. It is done now and just need to get through the month.
£25 put on DS lunch account, last ever payment as he leaves on Friday, feels strange that my children are no longer children and the world of school has now ended.
Made DD and myself egg sandwiches for lunch also had some fruit and yoghurt, DD is currently on her uni placement so takes a packed lunch everyday (well trained), i have made a big batch of pasta salad for our lunch tomorrow and this should do us Wednesday as well.
Need to buy a birthday card and present tomorrow, just getting some flowers i'm hoping to get a nice bunch for no more than £10 I will try Aldi and if i have no luck will go to tesco.

The education system is going to lose so many good teachers because they don’t appreciate them. A thank you costs nothing. No wonder so many are leaving.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Sorry to hear things have been difficult and work is not great, I truly think that the kindness in the pandemic has gone and people are back to be taken for granted.
I've said recently that so many people are feeling flat and unmotivated, often caused by little appreciation shown by management.
Hope the rest of the week is uneventful and you can have a good rest this weekend.

Happy Saturday and thanks for the kind posts, just lost a really long post
.
This week has been crazy at work but i have got through it, hopefully next week will be quieter and then we break up for half term, 1 member of staff has handed her notice in and will be leaving at the summer, i will miss her. The other member of staff has been persuaded to stay and is moving year groups and working with a different group of staff members. I have had a positive end to the week a colleague bought me a lovely thankyou gift and a parent came to speak to me to say thankyou for all the extras i have been doing with there child, nice to finish the week on a high.
DS has finished 6th form and it feels very strange to no longer have children in the school system although i am ecstatic that i will never ever have to sit through another parents evening, i am a little emotional but also see it as a new chapter in our life book and know that it's time to start putting myself first. Speaking of which i am off to a friends tonight for a lovely meal and a few drinks, i have made dessert and they are doing the main will also take a bottle of wine from stores.
Tackled finances this morning and wasn't as bad as i expected, paid £100 off the card i had put DS suit onand £30 off CC2. Received a £10 amazon voucher from a survey site which will get used on dog treats at some point. Spent £75 in lidl and £40 in b&m this morning shouldn't need to do another big shop until payday.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend xx1 -

Afternoon, the weather is glorious here, A wonderful start to the school holidays. 11 days off to declutter and destress.
I did a shop at Mr T on my way home fro work last night and spent £40, my plan for the next week is to eat out of the freezer and try not to spend anything, although my car is in for it's MOT next week but that money has already been put to one side. Off out tonight to watch the new Top Gun film, DH bought the tickets last week and we will take snacks from home.
Payslip is showing on line and June budget has been done, no wiggle room this month, i need to pay off the CC i put DS suit on, bulk buy dog food which will be around £150 but does last several months, haircut and colour next weekend and need to put some money in the holiday pot for 2nd holiday as the balance is due on the 16th.
Trying to save pennies where possible as i'm sure everyone is, i have picked some rhubarb out of the garden which i will stew and freeze, picking up whoopsed bread whenever i see it in shops and freezing, planted more rocket seeds and only doing washing when the weather is dry and i can get it out on the line. I have redeemed £10 from a survey site which will go straight to CC when it lands in account and also redeemed a £5 M&S voucher.
Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the sunshine xx0 -

Afternoon all, not much happening moneywise as it is the day before payday, just pottering at home today as everyone is out. Not done any washing as the weather is pants and i'm not putting it in the dryer, hopefully the sun will come out as the week goes on.
Ate a couple of frogs today and made some phone calls, need to order my repeat prescription and dig something out of the freezer for tomorrows tea, Tonight we are eating up some leftover curry, might cook some chips to go with the rice to bulk it out. Lunch today was just me and Dh so i dug out some goats cheese tarts that were in the freezer, picked some homegrown rocket and made a batch of coleslaw using up a sorry looking cabbage, very nice lunch it was to, Must do some baking as we are low on snacks but think it can wait until tomorrow.
