  • Morning all

Cold and wet here this morning so another day of washing on the airer, dogs have been fed and walked, chickens sorted and wood brought in and woodburner lit. Finances checked and nothing gone out, hairdressers later so won't be a nsd.
Going to make a sausage casserole for tea which will use up the last of the leeks, we were really good last night DH got in from work late and i hadn't eaten and DS was out, DH was going to go and get a takeaway but i said no i will rustle something up, we had scrambled egg, bacon, hash browns and chestnut mushrooms and very yummy it was too. and felt good that we hadn'tspent the money.

    Have a good day xx

Well done on resisting a takeaway. I'm finding more and more that despite the hankering for one, own homecooked food is far better and tasty!

Fingers crossed for ds job application.

Enjoy the hairdressers, always nice to have a little pampering.

  • Hair done and looks fab, £13 under budget as i couldn't remember if i was having a full or half head of highlights, turns out it was a half, sent £13 as an overpayment to CC2.
  • Morning all, I have done my usual morning jobs and nearly got blown away walking the dogs. It's not supposed to rain now until after lunch so hoping to get some bits dried on the line, already have 1 load drying on the airer.
Finances checked and regular mortgage payment + £100 overpayment has gone out,now in the 66s.
Don't know if DS is in tonight so just doing fish cakes for tea with wedges and HM coleslaw.

    Have a great day xx

  • Morning all, we have a large bright orange thing in the sky, just pegged out 2nd load of washing.

Up early and walked dogs, it was freezing and my car was all iced up, sorted chickens and hung 1st load of washing out and put 2nd load in, nipped into small town to pick up my prescription, went to butchers for steak for me and DH tomorrow which cost £18😬. Since i was out i decided to do a food shop spent £20 in Sains and £35 in booths, did include a bottle of red for tomorrow night. £4 spent in pet shop on rabbit ears for doggo's for Easter (sorry if you are vegi). Also spent £20 on 4 hand towels as we seem to be down to 3, sure DH takes them when he goes fishing and i never see them again.

Banking checked, everything ok, have a few surveys to catch up on.

    Have a great day xx

So lovely to see the sun out, and get the laundry done instead of hanging all around the house.

Shopping sounds good, enjoy your steak and wine tomorrow.

    Have a lovely weekend, H x

Great you got laundry out. It’s too wet on and off here but aiming for tomorrow as the sun is due to shine

Morning, been super busy last few days with DS birthday and DH was off work so we decided to get the hallway and living room painted, just emulsioned the walls and glossed the woodwork but it looks so much cleaner and brighter.

Have spent too much the last few days mainly on bits for DS birthday and family came over so money spent on drinks and nibbles and a takeaway. My car decided to make a grinding sound on the way back from dog training on sunday,so into the garage it went on Monday anyway it's fixed and cost £105 which isn't a huge amount but still money i hadn't planned on spending, but with a bit of juggling with personal spends and pinched a bit from grocery spends i have paid it without having to raid savings pot.

Redeemed £15 from surveyb0ds and £50 from y0ugov, y0ugov money has already hit bank account and has been paid straight off CC2.

Have a great Easter weekend xx

Nothing better than a fresh coat of paint to brighten up a room.

    Happy Easter 😊
