Thanks Brambling I hope so! I have masses of food in the house at the moment, all gifts - chocolates, biscuits, and tons of interesting savoury bits. I’m planning to combine meal planning for the grocery challenge and frugal living with the weightloss challenge to parcel them out over the next many months. The hope is that eating ‘gift’ food will make it feel a bit more special.
Lovely walk along the coast today. 405 cals burned, possibly more if it ‘cost’ a lot to go paddling!

I've just eaten a lovely curry made with chicken, mushrooms, onions and mayflower curry sauce with rice so low on calories. I've managed to get 2 extra portions into the freezer to have if I am struggling. Day three of the 'diet', I am feeling incredibly hungry tonight but considering what I have just eaten I can't be so it must be cravings, or habit or something else, either way I am NOT hungry.

Thank you. 2021 was food chaos. First I was too ill to eat then when I was fixed I was too tired to cook due to 6 months of not eating properly. That led to takeaways and junk food which led to exhaustion and being too tired to cook. The doctor insisted on blood tests and prescribed vitamins in November so hopefully I'm on the way back now. I've been cooking meals with veg for the past 10 days or so and I do feel better.
I haven't weighed myself today but expect I've put on a couple of pounds over the past fortnight, though that will still put me in the middle of the healthy weight category. However I do need to lose some weight to be comfortable and I'll aim for a 7 lb loss for the quarter and that should get me to where I want. So I'll try to remember to actually get on the scales tomorrow morning for a starting point.
Thanks for adding me to the chart already Brambling, I'll set target as 12lb although I haven't yet checked what the Christmas damage is! A job for tomorrow I think.

I don’t have trouble avoiding the sweet things or chocolate but do need to cut back on portion sizes with the savoury things (and red wine😬).
I like to try and do low carb as that seems to work well for me.
Aiming for 14lb for the challenge but hopefully more 🤞
Weigh in day is Friday.
