Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2022 - 1st Quarter

@Brambling I am down another 3 lbs which means I have lost my first stone!
Very pleased with how it is going, double feelings about turning down free chips at work this week as it is turning down free food which is not very money saving but I know that I need to make real life style changes and stick to them if I want to be healthier.
I am having lots of salads with grains for lunch which is filling me up really well and I am enjoying making and eating them.8 -
I forgot to WI this morning but frankly it would have been bad. I’ve had a stressful time at work, have worried about my partner having a stressful time at his work, and we’re going through some frustrating time at home, so my mental health is not great at the moment and I just want to eat pizza. So I’ve eaten pizza. Hopefully things will be better next week.»The road to DF is long and bumpy » Greensaints8

Hi. Lost 2lb in 4 days,
so happy to have made a start. Thanks @ brambling for this thread , and to everyone else for posting such great inspirational messages. I can aspire to the ones who are doing so well , and commiserate to the ones who had a bad week. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to be in that camp every so often, and it’s nice to know it’s just part of weight loss pattern, and not worth throwing in the towel over . Thanks

1lb loss for me please. Slow and steady which is fine, especially as I am exercising more and hopefully building muscle.
Completed week 1 of C25K, swum 3 times and walked dogs every day. Feeling good and can feel my clothes getting looser. Can now actually manage to get into sports bra which is money saving as I was not spending £40 on a new bra which would only fit for a few weeks!
This week I will be counting calories across the week rather than daily as I am already over for today (semi-planned) and probably out for Sunday lunch tomorrow so I will make sure to come in under calories during the week.8 -

[This week I've had 2 days over 2000 cals and average is 1839 so not expecting to record any loss.]9 -

For me it's not so much the money spent on bras as the horror of trying to buy one that is suitable and the double horror of realising that after it's worn a couple of days it not longer fits as nicely as it did in the shop. Doesn't matter how good the shop is or the specially trained fitting person it's always a disaster. I've given up on nice ones and get a cheap 3 pack of sports bras from Walmart when I'm near one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Hi all
I've lost a grand total of 0.25 of a pound this week, so I'll record it as a STS and add it to (hopefully) any loss next week.
Hugs to BellaLasagna and everyone else who needs one.
Keep going, we can do this.

Well done, Ziggy.
Brunch - yoghurt and blueberries
Tea - beef casserole from the freezer which appeared to contain carrots, courgettes and apricots
Exercise - walking from my car across town then jumping up and down watching Kidderminster Harriers!8 -
Bit nippy for standing watching footy Firth 🥶
well done on all those weighing in 👏👏👏 Hoosrice I've added your well earnt 2lbs to the chart 🙂
I do buy good bras from a online which does good deals but for the support I need I can't buy cheap one unfortunately, i hate it when the old faithful comfy ones die 😐Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin8
