Hi Everyone,
Checking in with a 1lb loss this week, so that might be the Christmas weight gone - now just to get rid of the September - November weight to get back to where I was last summer! Sigh. Ah well, could be worse.
Have a good week everyone!8 -
Sunfl0w3r said:Well that was a bad week, I think if it moved I ate it😭. I hope you've got a lot of purple devils handy Brambling👿 checking in with a 7lb gain.
Will try harder this week🤞🌻
oh dear!! I'm hoping there were no small children or pets involved!!!
I'm also hoping that by the time I reach Wednesday I'm not needing too many devils myself. Morning all,
Well done on all of the losses and STSs and here's hoping for a better week this week Sunfl0w3r
Brambling I've sometimes wondered if my dislike of red wine is something to do with my clumsiness
CCW I love the excel geekiness and it's surprising how motivating seeing things as a percentage can be
Ginger Thank you. Being able to look at menus online is really helpful and I was good and stuck to just one c*cktail
Millicent Although I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time I hope you can laugh at the wine mishap now. It's hard but I'm trying to remember that food isn't always the best way to reward myself. I've got my eye on a pair of shoes I want but very definitely don't need and will treat myself when I make it to the next stone down.
Sirens Well done on hitting 10k steps each day. I hope that you enjoyed the British Museum and coped with eating out.
Ziggy Thank you and well done on increasing your steps. I think I did okay with planning and balancing what I ate but I couldn't really offer to drive to avoid drinking - I live about a 5 minute walk from where we were going
I must've done something right over the weekend as I managed a 2lb loss this week
I don't think the salad I ordered was particularly diet-friendly (it included fried falafel, houmous, harissa and quite a bit of dressing) but it was delicious, something I wouldn't make myself and had enough healthy stuff as well that at least it wasn't just empty calories. I also stuck to gin and slimline tonic after the 1st drink and spent a lot of the weekend having a clear out so kept moving and didn't have time to snack.
Sorry if I've missed any posts and best of luck for the week ahead xx6 -
Joined the gym yesterday, was swimming at 6.45 this morning and have my induction this evening so I can start using the gym tomorrow morning. Good thing is you have to book a swimming session so there's less chance of me blowing it off because I can't be bothered to get out of bed.
Going to take measurements this evening as I don't want to be relying just on the scales once I start exercising more.8 -
Brunch - mushrooms, spinach and a bit of sun dried tomato
Tea - will be salmon, sprouts and carrots6 -

hopefully it came on quick it will go just as quick. I lend you my ruler and pen so you can draw a line under it and start again. I did briefly give it too Suffolksue
the rest of you may want to sanity check my maths etc on the chart 🙄
well done everyone else, a great start Frith
CCW well done in joining the gymI agree taking measurements is a good idea especially for those days when the scales don't show your hard work

@CCW007 I low the sound of your spreadsheet! I have lots and a version of yours might be next!I’m glad to be ending January in an overall loss of 8lb even with nothing last week. I’m sure dry January has helped and I am thinking I’m gonna intentionally have some dry days each week that I stick to as I’ve not missed the booze, I’ve been glad of the extra cash, and generally feel better for it.I’d set a target of 6000 cal of intentional exercise I have absolutely smashed it by walking 10473 calories. I’ve no idea how far that is but there will be a spreadsheet adding it up soon. I’m going to change my target for next month to 8500
