Hi All,
Sorry for the late check in, I've been reading along but keep running out of time to post (my laptop doesn't like anything non-work related so I'm having to use my phone, which is rather slow going), I'm very pleased though that i managed a 3lb loss when I weighed on Monday.
Well done for all the STSs and losses and best of luck for jumping back on the wagon for any gains.
Bella sorry they're very belated but happy birthday wishes
Brie I hope everything works out for you with the office closure. While I wouldn't wish stress on anyone I'm oddly jealous of people who lose weight in that situation, I'm far more likely to stuff myself with any high fat/sugar/carb item I can find if I'm struggling
Dinky 110lb is an amazing loss and keeping it off is even more impressive
Jenny I hope you and your husband are on the mend and have got rid of the unwanted visitor
SeekingFlight as others have said, try not to worry about how long it takes and focus on the fact that you're heading in the right direction. I'm really bad at taking that advice but am trying very hard to remind myself that my excessive lardiness has taken 2 years to put on so it's not going to come off overnight
ziggy I have no idea how people find time to exercise. Even working from home and with no children I don't seem to manage it. I think that, unless it's something you really enjoy, it's hard to make it a priority
How do you all cope with managing to diet and be sociable? I've got a few birthdays coming up which will involve going for dinner and drinks and one which will be a long weekend away so want to try to make good choices but also don't want to come across as the martyr in the corner who won't just have fun.
Best of luck everyone xx

Welcome back Honey there's always room for you 🙂
Brie I hope the job situation resolves itself quickly, it's the waiting which is the worst. I think if you can taking redundancy sounds like a good plan especially close to retirement.
0.5lb loss for me I expected more as food wise I've had a better week but I'll take any loss at the moment
well done on everyone's WIs 👏👏Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin8 -

@Brambling - one of the reasons I love having stuff like croissants in the freezer is that I take breakfast out the night before - it’s very much about stopping that impulsive second one!

@Izadora for social situations it helps me to plan exactly what I will be eating and drinking. That helps me balance out over the day what I am having.
eg I love poached eggs so if I am at a hotel for breakfast I will order those as whilst I do make them myself it is a treat to have them made for me.
And I am more likely to offer to drive if we are going out so I cannot drink which also helps others as I can give them a lift so we all have a good night.
I have managed to increase my step count over the last week and am debating getting up early a couple of mornings a week to do some wii fit - not quite there yet though.
@Brie it sounds very stressful! Hope it sorts itself out soon
