Morning Everyone
Brambling am I too late to join for this quarter?
I'm sorry I dropped out last year, I lost my husband in August, very suddenly, I'm still a mess but recognise I need to loose some weight to be healthier for the kids. If possible could I try for 10lbs

Good morning all,
4.5 lbs loss for me please @Brambling,
@SIRENS 12 years ago I was what was optimistically called a "young widow". Our son was 4 when my husband died away at sea. It takes a lot of time to get your head round your new journey. I was told then when you feel you can't manage, concentrate on getting through the next hour, then the next and so on. Be kind to yourself and the biggest of big hugs.
Take care all of you 😊8 -
hi @Brambling, I want to record a 5LB loss - I don't think its true weight though because as I said at the beginning of the week I had put on 6LB over Christmas!! Still one more pound and ill be back to the status quo - with lots to lose🤣
Thanks @clutterbug07 and @EskarinaWeatherwax for your encouragement re walking - sorry to hear you've had an injury Eskarina, hope its back to normal soon.
Have a good day everyone. Ill be back to post meals tonight. Sorry to bore everyone with them but it is definitely helping to keep me accountable if you can all put up with it.10 -

Ooops my weigh day is Saturday and I completely forgot to post, so checking in late with a 1lb loss.I struggled last week, upped the exercise but food choices weren’t great, as I was still eating up Christmas goodies and I put 3 pounds on over Christmas. Here’s to new week, good luck everyone. Sorry Brambling I appear to have lost the button that makes the font larger, so just had to record the loss in bold.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Well done on your lost Mrs_m it's always difficult after Christmas when there are goodies lurking in the house, I missed being able to take it into the office and leave on the kitchen table where there are enough gluttons to hoover it all up 🙂 I'm the only glutton in the house as the cat doesn't eat human food

Sirens Welcome back and I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.
So many halos on the chart, well done everyone.
I finally braved the scales this morning and it really wasn't pretty. It was about halfway between the best I'd hoped for and the worst I'd feared so it could've been worse and at least I've stopped burying my head for now.
Food today's not been too bad and snacks have been restricted to two toffees from the Christmas leftovers. Sometimes work being too busy for me to leave my desk can work to my advantage!
Best of luck everyone xx6 -
Hi @Brambling,
Recording a 1.5 lb loss this week, been getting my 10k steps and trying to eat a bit better last week as it was back to work. Now to try and get some higher impact exercise in. No calorie counting till next month - slow and steady.#19 Make £2025 in 2025 £8.32/£2025"Remember not to do too many things at once" said me to herself.Mortgage Free Wannabe #25 2025 OP £500/£60009 -
Meant to be going for a run this morning, but i slipped on some steps at the train station on Sunday (happy birthday to me!🤣) and my ankle is a bit sore still. Have a massive bruise on my knee where I went down on it hard- was very very lucky I was able to grab the rail because I was going all the way to the bottom if I hadn't!! Going to go for a walk Instead this morning, and I have belly dance later too so still getting some exercise today.Need to work on the food. Am definitely eating and drinking less than Christmas (and last week when we still had the FIL here), but probs shud get serious with it. Before the wedding I used calories on My Fitness Pal and that did seem to work, and u can still have the odd treat. Will try to do that today, the last few days I have sort of half used it! 🤣Jan Grocery Challenge 2023: £181.18/£400
