Gettingtherequickly said:Feel your pain Bubbs, Mum was’t great yesterday, gp sent her to a&e, found clot on her lung, so keeping her in until it dissolves. Whole thing throws us into a conundrum as we had sorted out flying home so that there is one of us there every weekend. My brother there this weekend, which, other than being able to take her to hospital, has been a waste as he can’t see her, not sure what we can do. Think I need to get all the friends & family to set up a rota visiting her at home, if someone pops in every morning and afternoon, at least she will be seen every day and she doesn’t overtire by having a few in one go.
Comfort ate😳 so need to try & pull some back before ThursdayWishing her a speedy recovery xx

I've signed up for a couple of fitness classes, first one tonight, and I'm already thinking about how sore I'll be tomorrow!

Sounds like you have a good network looking out for your mum @Gettingtherequickly. Still worrying though. 🤗
Well done on signing up for the exercise classes @Jellybaby and you too with your gym membership @MrsRyan. There are many obvious benefits from exercise but it's also a good distraction for anyone inclined to snack when just sitting on the sofa. I do envy you having a gym with a pool @MrsRyan. I used to belong to one myself but it changed hands and they filled the pool in, probably too expensive to maintain. These days I manage with my dancing and some walking. It's an absolutely glorious day here. We had a 1.5 hour walk this morning, great to get out and about.
That looks like a good menu for today @ruby_eskimo. I seem to fight a losing battle trying to make space in my freezers. There's quite a lot of pre prepared veg in there at the moment from the veg wars at Christmas.
Completely agree with you about adapting your usual family recipes @annabanana82. It's enough work planning, shopping and cooking without having to do separate meals as well. Good to know that your DS shares the cooking @Jellybaby. Hope he follows the list of SW meals you put up! 🤣
Today's EE plan-
B- scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- ham, fried egg (P), veg hash and pickles (S)
D- sausages, SW chips and baked beans (F), onions, peppers and mushrooms (S)
Syns- Aldi skinny sausages 11 -
