‘Another bloody STS’ for me too @bubbs 😂  my consultant suggested writing everything down so I can’t forget anything. I already do this here and in a notebook I keep giving more detail. As well as hand in a food diary!  I’ll just keep plodding along!

Could you and your sisters either speak to hospital or your dad’s GP to see if they can get any help? My parents are of a similar age and my mum is the healthier and fitter one of the two but she wouldn’t be able to cope either.

It's so hard @bubbs, perhaps the stoma nurse will be able to explain it all and offer advice about any help that's available as they must meet this all the time . I think what's available varies in different areas but it's important to ask. 🤗

Thanks for the tips @annabanana82. I didn't realise your DD lived at home. Great that you can follow the plan together. 😊

Yes, she's only 17 she's got a trip of a lifetime next summer so wants to be in the best shape for it. But really good that we can help each other.

From experience Bubbs, even though our situation was slightly different in that DH was terminal, you need to shout, loudly, as there’s so much demand, even more now due to the pandemic. I hope you’re parents get help. It must be so overwhelming for them and a worrying time for you. Just take care x
