Forgot to say that the lamb curry was really nice yesterday. It's from the latest magazine. Uses lamb leg steaks, so not cheap - I bought 3 packs so cost £11!
Easy peasy to make though and only 2.5 syns for the curry paste (I used one of the Patak$ pots).

Morning all, another lovely bright day.  No plans for today other than the usual housework.  Hopefully will be able to sit out in the garden later with a cup of coffee or tea.

@bubbs - glad you got a response, thought it would probably be a case of freezing the sausages in the clingfilm.  Will definitely have a go of them but obviously not until after my holiday as hoping not to have to go to the SM this week; will need to pop to the Farm Shop to pick up some more fruit as only have a few grapes left at the moment.

Decided to use 2nd HEA and made a rice pudding with Almond milk for pudding.  Also made some chocolate mousse for pudding tonight (a Slimming Eats recipe) for 1.5 syns each so much lower syn than the ones on the SW website which range from 4.5 to 6.5 syns.

    Today's plan:

B - sausage patties, eggs, fried up potatoes, balsamic tomatoes & spinach (Slimming Eats recipes) - P; S; F
    L - jacket potato, tuna mayo, salad - P; S; F; 1
    D - LO gammon, chips, beans - P; F

    HEA - milk
HEB - none planned but may have a hifi or crackers with Primula (part 2nd HEA)
    Syns - LTL mayo 1

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, a crisp cold morning but the sun's out and according to the forecast likely to warm up quite a bit over the next few days.  This will probably be our summer here in Scotland

I've measured out my milk just to prove that I do really only use half of a HEXA for coffee.  Also going to try and shake my meals up a bit this week as I tend to eat the same things.

Breakfast was f/f yoghurt and berries, lunch will be ryvitas (HEXB), boiled eggs and salad bits and dinner is fish and chips with peas, sweetcorn and carrots (7 syns for breadcrumbs and tartare sauce).

    Have a good day all!

Morning all.  Hope it all goes well with your dad @bubbs and that you're ok after the shunt you had.

@Mrs_Ryan I always think it's good to track your measurements as well as weight - I've lost less than half a pound this week on the scale but I've lost 3.5 cms from my chest, hips and waist, so just goes to show the scales don't always show the complete picture.

Had a quiet weekend and on a training course today for work.  Also managed to do a workout this morning, followed by ff yogurt and blueberries for breakfast.  Lunch is going to be roasted carrots with dhal and then for dinner tonight we're going out to a new restaurant who are offering 15% off the bill.  No idea what's on the menu so can't plan too much, but will let you know tomorrow what it's like 😆

Hope you all have a good day!

Amazing bargains @bubbs. No idea how you get to know about things like that ??🤔

Do let us know how the spinach and tomato recipe went @joedenise. I've been using the roasted tomatoes that @ruby_eskimo posted a while back. It makes the cheaper cherry tomatoes much tastier. I sometimes add balsamic to that.

Out of curiosity @Jellybaby, why do you only want to use half a HEA for your coffee? I can't see you using the rest for anything.🤔

Lovely and sunny here too @Coxy11. Unfortunately the (yet to move in) new neighbours next door are having some groundworks done so they have a noisy digger chugging away which spoils having the windows open. Hopefully not for too much longer.

I'm planning to make garlic and chilli sauce for meatballs. I usually use the recipe for patatas bravas which I'll plan in soon as the recipe usually makes 4 portions.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk, bacon, fried egg (P), baked beans (F)
    L- ham (P), 1? potato (F), fried veg and beetroot (S)
D- meatballs in tomato sauce (P,S), spaghetti (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

@maman the balsamic tomatoes and spinach was really tasty but I think I added a bit too much balsamic - I halved the amount instead of only using 1/4 as I was only making it for me.  I used cherry tomatoes rather than salad ones which the recipe uses but I only ever buy cherry ones as prefer them.

Will definitely be making it again but will probably do it when DH is around as it's quite long winded for just one person!  Not sure whether it would freeze but might be worth trying at some stage.  I didn't do the egg in the end just had the sausage patties along with the air fried cubed potatoes and tomato/spinach mix.

What recipe do you use for the garlic and chilli sauce?  I often find my tomato sauces can be a bit bland and not sure why.

Forgot to mention the management agents for the bungalow next door has finally replaced the fence and instead of the 3" with 2" trellis over which was there originally they've put in a solid 5" fence so now it's cutting down on the amount of sun we get in the garden!  In total it's 6' tall as there is a concrete bit at the bottom which is another foot.

It's to prove to my consultant @maman  I never weigh milk though I count it as a full HEXA as I only have a splash in a couple of cups each day and use f/f yoghurt for cereal as I prefer that.   I do weigh cheese and any HEBs but in conversation happened to say this to consultant who was adamant I must use much more than that and that's probably the reason losses are low and slow.

Lesson learned to keep quiet in future!

My losses are low and slow too @Jellybaby and I certainly use my full HEAs and usually HEB as well so think that's a bit disingenuous of your consultant!
