Another vote for hot Ribena @beanielou.  I like it with a slice of lemon in it too.  I like black coffee but can't do black tea but you might be able to!

Pudding looks lovely as usual @bubbs.  Once my freezer's a bit emptier I'll have to dig my ice cream maker out again!  No room as the moment though!

    Evening all

Thanks for the warm welcome. WI tonight at a busy group, 4lb loss, 2 stone in total and slimmer of the week! Feeling really pleased now, just need to maintain the momentum!

Another vote here for warm black currant to drink on these cold days, I’m not a big tea drinker and hate coffee so it’s what I choose to warm me up.

Those photos of your meals look fab bubbs, we tried a new soup recipe for supper this evening, roasted carrot, celery and apple, it was delicious.

Skinny sausages and mash with veg tomorrow, will post rest of menu in the morning x

  • Welcome to the newbies & returners, we will have fun along the path!

Christmas was strange, just Mum & I, although the place was like Piccadilly Circus as people were coming to see her, I know they all meant well, but she was putting her best foot forward even though she was so tired. She decided not to have the round of chemo she was supposed to have the week before Christmas, as she wanted to feel better than she would have had she had the chemo as it was probably going to be her last one. She is seeing the oncologist on Monday, but my instinct is that she will refuse further treatment, preferring quality rather than quantity of life.

I batch cooked meals, so they are all in the freezer, although I had to throw out one lot, which pained me! I made the cheeseburger pasta, which I love. I had taken the spices home with me and did nothing different, but my god, it was inedible, there was so much salt but I hadn’t added any. The only thing that was different was the stock pot I used, I was gobsmacked when I checked the ingredients afterwards, salt was the main ingredient! No wonder I had to chuck it all. Worst part of it all was people coming in & saying it smelt amazing (:

Had to go shopping after work as there was nothing fresh at home, was disappointed at the lack of veg, but the trolley looked good with all of the speed😀
A smile costs little but creates much :)

@BadCat18 Well done on your loss!

It's the same for me with group as well, paying to be an online member would just be throwing money away and It's difficult for me to go it alone.

I do in a way miss going to group as well, because I miss that social interaction with people.

Have been going out for a walk everyday so far, so need to keep that up.

Am popping into Asda at lunchtime today, so will attempt to buy some healthy snacks - apart from fruit, does anyone have any ideas please?

    Have a good day all.
