Another success in Mr. I's this week - must shop there more often! Hoping I can find one more before January is out to hit double figures but I don't have long! Sorry to see you've had no luck this week, Hummingbird, but hang in there, they must be out there somewhere! Or you could always do a DigForVictory and seek out some alternative change!

Mega busy week doing tax returns (I'm an accountant in my spare time). Just one more to go so I can start to relax!
Just two beautiful gold coins for me this week - one plain and one Britannia, both courtesy of bingo. Bit of shopping to get done today so may get lucky - well, I hope I do. And it's bingo on Sunday evening. Hoping my friend will be there as she normally secures me at least one coin a week - really missed her collecting skills during lockdown.
DigForVictory - my husband is amazed at how 'direct' I can be at a checkout when asking for any £2 coins in my change - he walked off when I first started plucking up courage to ask, but he's used to it now! In fact it seems quite normal now to ask for them at every opportunity.
StokieBecks - good luck on hitting your target by Monday. I'm way behind where I would like to be but intend on getting a move on.
Hummingbird_012 - I've not seen the Jester Shakespeare coin - had to google it to see what the design was. That's a good find!
CazzieLT - not shopped at Mr I's for a long time. Think I will head down there and give it a try.
Good luck everyone this week. Lets see how many we can find

Well done Veebree
I got one from Mr T petrol station last night - almost ran out of milk so a quick dash to save a disastrous breakfast from occurring this morning!

Two more plain-but-beautifuls from the card shop - clearly the place to go! (Although I think if I pay 69p with a £10 note one more time, I might get barred...!)
So good to see you've had some successes too, including your first find Veebree, hooray! No bingo for Cazzie tonight, but totally gonna hit up Mr. T's on my lunchtime walk tomorrow and buy the 50p biscuits that weren't in stock at Mr. S' and, you've guessed it, bring out the £10 note (don't have to be embarrassed doing that at the self-service tills, although it is harder to control my rage when I get a bunch of ones and I should probably be embarrassed about that... nah!)
Let's see out January with a flourish! Go forth and find those beauties, team!xxx

Wow, you have all been busy collecting those lovely £2 coins. It's February already - can't believe it. Been a manic couple of weeks getting everyone's tax returns done in time, but I have succeeded. Hopefully by the end of February we will be able to start enjoying some lighter evenings. My garden certainly needs my attention but working full time usually means it's started getting dark when I've finished work. But today, we managed to get some weeding done and get a layer of bark on the ground, just in case we get a frost, and the garden is looking a bit tidier. The crocus and bluebells are starting to come through so another few weeks and they will be out. Daffodils I planted last year should start to show any time now as those on the road verges are already up and out, giving a glorious show as you drive or walk past.
3 more for me through bingo on Tuesday - all plain but that's ok - so I've passed the £30 mark (finally).
Nellie75 - that is an excellent collection in just one month. Hopefully, your luck will continue. I'm still hunting for a Jester coin. Never had that one but a friend at bingo says they have one that they are willing to swap with me for an equal cost of £1 coins. They've been collecting for ages and have pretty much full sets of all the picture coins. I wonder how many they are going to be willing to part with?. I'd better go prepared on Sunday with some notes!
Well done Grumpyoldmoo - a good steady start to the year. And well done Veebree on securing your second find. I don't know if it's me, but they seem very difficult to find at the moment. Still no luck at the self service checkouts in MrT's and none at my local corner shop, but I will persist.
CazzieLT - I'm in town on Saturday and do have to get some cards, so think I will give that a try. I prefer to shop with cash as I can keep an eye on what I'm spending.
Good luck everyone on getting those finds - lets see how many we can save in February!£2 coin savings club 2025 #1 £166 (2024 £692; 2023 £754; 2022 £472; 2021 £256; 2020 £358; 2019 £512; 2018 £404; 2017 640)Saving for Xmas 202 £1 a day #4 £365 / £365 3-6 month emergency fund challenge #48 £10,030 Save a penny a day 2024 #32 £ . / £667.95 £1000 emergency fund challenge #232 £1,007/ £1,000 (achieved Nov 2020)2
