Successful night at bingo last night.  Won £15 in which there were 2 x £2 coins in my winnings and had another one from the bar when I bought my diet drink.  Up to £22 already - very happy with that!

I have £52 already potted (some of that is the remnants of last years once I had banked up) - going for £400 again. £200 for me and £200 for the wildlife centre

Also on the hunt for a Marconi £2 coin for hubby - he isn't collecting he just wants that one

Two wins to report today! One from the card shop ('I'm so sorry, we don't have any five pound notes...' - NOT A PROBLEM!) and another from my well-trained bro who even went and got me my first fancy one! The 1807 abolition of the slave trade. Now tucked safely in my pot and a happy team of 8 making £16

What a good start to the year - £52 is excellent.  I banked several Marconi £2 coins at the end of last year (3 I believe) when I emptied the pot so they are back out there ready for your husband to find.

Well done CazzieLT.  Total is slowly creeping up!  Did have to laugh when reading your post - I almost find it impossible to hide my joy at receiving a handful of change in place of a crisp note  .

No shopping plans today or tomorrow but will be popping into town on Saturday for my fruit and veg - so who knows!

Supermarket refuses to change a note down, but when presented with a handful of pound coins may be coaxed into swapping for a £2 coins. [Youngest, who provides the muscle for shopping, is appalled at me.]
