I hope all those who are struggling with real life are getting just a tiny bit tillied away are managing just that. Even pennies a week can add to the food shop or make an extra payment to some debt. Its about finding our own way of making money.
Does anyone pickup the small change off the floor? I remember a local shop owner saying that secondary school children in  particular do throw the coppers away  as I had mentioned about the change near the shop that I had gladly picked up.

Oh the ignorance of youth @2Scratters! When they realise how expensive staying alive is, they'll be happy to pick up change when they see it. Or better yet, they'll hold onto their own money and will be watching another generation making the same weird choices 😁. I was delighted to find 7p over the course of two days and put it in my sealed pot challenge. It all adds up... 👍🏾.

    Hi Peeps,
thought I would pop in I have been keeping up to date. There is no add on for me as I have been using cash for our grocery shopping and have not been in work so no influencing me for breakfast then paying off my card ( there is no real influence, its just asking the question would I like breakfast? )

    Hi Peeps,
an update of tilly tidying for me. I had not logged any numbers but just done an online check and have managed £11.51 tillied. It has not been the best month for savings as we had out going annual bills to pay. I have finally for the first time in my life completed fully a budget planner. It seems very bleak when putting all the numbers in at the start. It does however focus you on what needs to go i.e debt or daft spending that occurs. The added benefit is that you have money in readiness for the said dues and the peace of mind that brings in itself has to be good for the soul.
The month is not over yet so hoping I can get to £20 as there is a payday for me due in 2 days.

I found a mrs tiggie winkle 50p coin in a car park a few weeks ago. Has to be the most money I have ever found. I lost £30 in tescos years ago, OH passed me it as we got out the car and I shoved it in my jeans. I was only very young, it was the early 2000s. I called the store later that day in bits and asked if it had been handed in, the person laughed hysterically and basically said, would you hand in £30? I thought….well yeah, probably!

Tillying is going to be a spectator thing for me this year I think, learn from the experts. This year has been a total disaster for me and due to some of the catastrophes I have ended up in more debt. Cost of living crisis and heating bills will likely leave me in further debt. I wholeheartedly worry for the well-being of everyone this autumn and winter. I do take comfort I’m not the only one struggling, but also don’t if that makes sense because it means we’re all struggling!

@scrimpandsave welcome aboard even if you are to be a spectator.
Do you pay by DD? Do you have a bank account that rounds up for you? OR does it give you the option to move the bits sideways? Just doing these small things of pinching pennies upwards will start to make a difference. You could save a small sum that can go towards an overpayment of debt, anything that will be putting you in control or just simply save a bit.
