Laura_Elsewhere said:It always makes me smile when I read complaints about husbands snoring - not that I don't understand, I do, and used to feel the same way, until Mr E had that cranial fracture and then the brain bleed six days later - for a very long time I was awake much of the night anxiously following his breathing, terrified he would simply stop - so now when I wake up and he's snoring, it's a lovely, lovely sound to my ears!
Also, we find it works on either of us if the snoree gently shoves the snorer and murmurs to them to "turn on your side, love, you're snoring"...Hope your DH fully recovered.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Seriously Ladies, if your DH is a chronic snorer, do get him investigated for sleep apnea. There are so many bad effects from not sleeping well.flamingo747 said:My husband's snoring was dreadful. It turned out it was sleep apnea. Very quiet with his cpap

I know what you mean Laura as DH ended up having a heart bypass at very short notice a few years ago and I do frequently remind myself how lucky we are
But it’s still annoying when he lies with his arms above his head which invariably sets him off grrrrIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!9 -
Just dropping in to take another 4 coupons off for a length of muslin some of which is being made into extra big face clothes - I've never understood why they're always so small, so had this lightbulb moment where I thought 'I can make my own, it doesn't matter if the hemming looks messy as long as it stops them unravelling'. The rest is being used as a draft excluder along the top of one window (all the double glazing units in this block are a bit old now, but I think this particular one was badly fitted to start with - the screws on the inside frame are actually in wonky and can't be tightened - and as time has gone on it's only got worse).

Afternoon Ladies
I have a couple of finished objects to show off, one of which was completed months ago but never photographed. Behold, the Owls Sweater, finished at the start of July:
This is the one that I knitted the sleeves and the yoke, then knitted the body downwards because I didn’t know how far the yarn would go. Despite my best endeavours, I still had about 5g left of the yarn. Also, no waist shaping.
The other thing I’ve finished and photographed are my latest completed pair of socks. These are another pair made from odd balls and leftovers:

Thank you, ladies. I am glad the yarn (Sublime’s Phoebe) is out of production - the jumper looks good despite all the flaws the yarn contained (e.g. lumps of undyed fibre woven into the chaînette construction,) and there is absolutely no elasticity. (I’ve just washed up while wearing it and now have sodden cuffs.).
@CapricornLass, now is the perfect time to get back to knitting on your alpaca jumper. It’ll keep your lap warm too, while your making it.
