I have been AWOL, sorry. Hubby got a diagnosis of diabetes, so we've been in a sort of crisis mode state just trying to get through new stresses and new ways of doing things.
No clothing has been bought with my coupons, I have a pretty set rotation of things in my wardrobe. I really should buy Bras but I keep saying I'll wait til I've lost weight, and then dont try to lose weight!
Please have another cup of tea and a big hug.

I must be a big adjustment when someone has to change their diet as for diabetes: my daughter in law had gestational diabetes last year, which went after the baby was born but of course was a major adjustment at the time. Then two of my colleagues have been diagnosed in the last year... it's becoming so much more common. How is your husband doing?

Thank you all. He's been working really hard to reduce his carbs, he's lost 1st 6lb in 4 weeks
very proud of him. It's been harder to think of meals and modifications, but we're managing. His dad was diabetic, so we knew it was a possibility, but at 42 it's a but sooner than we hoped. Fortunately my sister is a nurse and diabetes is her speciality, so she's been useful for guidance

Sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis, @flamingo747. I take it its type 2? I've always been told that's the harder to deal with, rather than type 1. Good luck with it.
I've been on a bra and knicker spending spree in M&S, as I was at the big branch at Warrington off the M62 last Friday, and unfortunately a lot of my bras have decided to go at the same time, ditto knickers. Three bras, seven pairs of knickers, and then a pair of ankle boots from Hotter's Black Friday Sale - I've well and truly bust the coupon limit for this year!Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.
Fashion on the Ration - 24.5/66 ( 5 - shoes, 1.5 - bra, 11.5 - 2 pairs of shoes and another bra, 5- t-shirt, 1.5 yet another bra!)7 -
Just totted it up - 80 coupons! Making up for previous years, I think, when I struggled to use them all. Ah well, the local spiv will be doing well out of me.
I've been lucky to buy the replacements for things that have just worn out, but it must have been really frustrating for those in the war, who couldn't guarantee to be able to do that, even if they had the coupons/Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.

That is one crochet blanket done, just needs some ends threading in and looks very pretty. Will take a picture of it. I just use up each ball of wool so's not to waste any. I found another 3 WIP blankets. Thanks to a donation from @Wraithlady and an unexpected windfall of wool from my parents' house.
I haven't added up any spends this year as I didn't think I needed towhat sort of statement is that besides being non-committal
hangs head in shame. I really don't spend or buy a lot and DEFINATELY do not buy a lot of new. What purchases I have made have been done in the vein of future proofing as once I finish work (2.5 years max) that will be it. I have been all my life been a CS or car boot shopper I love the old
styles, unfortunately the love of food gets in the way of me now fitting into vintage items.
