A rare new clothes purchase for me, I've used one of my stockings/tights coupons on a pair of Snag tights. Oh my word, I was a bit hesitant at the cost but I'm a convert; they are 80 denier so should last while. I can see why they are so popular.

After a tot up of my coupons I realise to my shame I am 2 coupons over this years allowance. I had never thought that that jacket would be 11 coupons. The good news is that OH is unlike to realise that I must have mistakenly used 2 of his coupons in error as he has so many left!

Chilly and foggy here today, I hope there is a little space by the fire.

I have a couple of Cashmere jumpers (lovely old ones) I may be inspired to try and do something with them.

I can't find anything... we made the assumption that leather bags were out of production during the war: I don't know if similar could be assumed for belts, but they must have used them, ditto shoes - for uniforms as well as civvies. There is a coupon cost for footwear, and a miscellaneous sort of category with a cost of 3 coupons, so perhaps it's that?

Pull up a chair, help yourself from the biscuit tin while there's still something in there... the fog makes everything so much less cheerful though it was very picturesque over the river this morning. Have you brought the cashmere jumpers? May we see?

Well suspenders, garters and braces were coupon-free, and 'hard haberdashery' - I think belts might be exempted, the rations were mainly about things that took a lot of fabric.  It's surprising they aren't mentioned.

I had considered both your suggestions as possibilities,
