Declaring my spends - had a bit of a splash out.

Long, navy, long sleeved, ribbed dress. I'm please with this as it's nicely fitted with a proper flared skirt. Much nicer than some of the shapeless ones. 7 coupons.

Navy cord blazer. 11 coupons - ouch! That takes me down to 5.

 @PipneyJane Thankyou for such a warm welcome, don't mind if I do! 

I've never been able to master knitting or crochet, not through lack of trying though. I am however a competent seamstress but I don't really use my skills to their full potential. I'm hoping that will change whilst playing along with the challenge. I have a generous stash of fabric upstairs that I'm hoping to make a dent in as time passes.

I enjoy giving things a second life and am a keen charity shopper, but am looking to move to quality over quantity.

I think my black crepe trousers might be there, although it's many years since they vanished unaccountably.  Perhaps the dancers are surrounded by a crowd of single socks applauding enthusiastically.

Which would use his coupons, but I bought him a pair in a different size and colour for his birthday so I will need to use coupons for one of the pairs. Does anyone know how many coupons I have spent?

I've refilled the cake tin with some parkin. Wonderful with a cuppa on a damp autumnal evening.

I’ve been making do and mending recently (a cup and two jumpers that I’m pleased with and a laundry basket that sprang apart again).

Here is the mend on one of the jumpers: DH is very hard on jumpers and they come apart under the arms. This one was unravelling and came with me to the shop to find a matching thread. The stitching is rather lumpy where I probably overstretched it.

The second picture is the inside: I found an abandoned sock in the rag bag with the right colour stripe so I’ve catch-stitched it to reinforce the seam and, once it comes apart again (as it inevitably will), I’m hoping the matching jersey fabric will disguise the fact. ☺️

Mending is one of those jobs I put off forever then find rewarding.

That looks superb, @Cherryfudge! I'm very impressed, and may try adding the internal reinforcement myself... 

It must be the season for it - I've been darning socks half the day here!

Thanks Laura, I can't think why it didn't occur to me before. I'll see how it fares in real life.  

Good socks are worth saving (even cheap ones are often okay for a while after a mend).
