Loving those gnomes! As usual, I had lots of plans to make things but didn't start soon enough.
I took have never heard of light-up crochet hooks. I think what I really need is one of those magnifying things that hang round your neck but they never look very comfortable.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.2 -
Gorgeous gnomes @thriftwizard. Hope they sell well.
@Gem-gem go shopping in iKEA for your standard lamp. I have two of their halogen up-lighters, one of which has a “daughter” (a small flexible lamp branching off), which I use for embroidery. Both are bright enough to light a room on their own.

@thriftwizard those gnomes are splendid!
It is suddenly the last day of November and for the umpteenth successive year I have not only not written any Xmas cards but have not even bought any or organised a list and haven't made half the presents yet (although that last is due to my family being asked in May and June and July what they'd like for Xmas and suddenly replying in mid-November that they would reeeeally like X and Y, none of which is a speedy-knit... ).
Argh.
Just as well I have two jars of last year's mincemeat left as I haven't made any yet this year!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Finished crocheting the Christmas tree garland. A couple of years ago, I was starting to put my plastic Christmas tree up and I thought, why am I putting this piece of plastic up in my house. I took it down and create a garland to go over the mantleOne day I will make a piece of wall art - larger Christmas tree to use as a focal point.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Love the tree garland, @Gem-gem! One of the things I really, really miss in this house is a mantelpiece to put a garland - and stockings - on. That said, it was my choice not to have one, as it could have looked a bit cluttery in our tiny living room. Absolutely agree about the plastic; we do have a plastic tree up in the loft in case of emergencies, but generally go to our local bird reserve (Arne) and buy a Scots pine that would have had to be cleared from the heath in any case.
