Since last posting there have been 2 family parties, I have met up with an old work friend too so it feels like lots of social.
I'm happy to have a quiet few days now as next week is equally social. A meal with friends, a weekend away at a relatives in the countryside, another meal with another friend. All of this activity is spendy! I'm glad I had the cheque back from the solicitor now!
ANGST
I am putting on weight. I eat and drink more here. My host loves wine and nice food. I like cooking. We were a great combination for hedonistic meet ups but living together is a disaster for my waistline/health!
ACTION
I will start going to my club next week. It will cost me but I will be able to do it for £8 a day if I travel off peak. I can take all my food with me and avoid eating (and drinking) with my host a few days a week. I will also get some work done! Plus, exercise walking to and from the station.
ANGST
STOPPING the FRITTERS
ACTION
I am using a water bottle/drinks flask as standard
I am not buying food outside except when it is a mindful treat. I recently treated host to coffee and cake and it was not fresh at all. I usually carry good chocolate and have a few squares with coffee. Cheaper and never disappointing...
ANGST
I lost an income stream due to making an error on a form. It was quite important to me but it also caused stress and admin.
ACTION
It has a good side. I am now more focused on looking at alternative income streams that I can control. A job has come up that I don't want immediately but I am thinking of applying for to get an insight into the organisation. When I am settled it would be a good fit for me. It is 4 days a week but my friend who works there says many people work 3 days. It is already remote so I wouldn't have to battle for that.
ANGST
No home
ACTION
Leaving this until my return. Feeling much more confident I will find what I need. Prices are falling where I am looking. My host is happy for me to leave searching until my return.
I go away in a few weeks. It feels odd to think of it
I hope everyone is ok. Off to read some diaries

I am so glad you are with a host that is more uplifting.
Glad you have the time away to look forward to.

You've a good host and it's working well for both of you.
Think of the weight as being natural padding and warmth for winter. It's natural to be more sedentary during the colder months as going out isn't enticing.
The role has potential.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
I love the angst/action lists, I should try this!
Glad all is going well though."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Thanks @MovingForwards and @savingholmes. Yes, my host is lovely. We are getting on very well and enjoying our time together
Thanks @jwil Yes the angst and action lists are something I came up with for dealing with anxiety. It feels better when I can see there is something I can do about it.
It was really nice to stop eating at 5pm today. Stopping eating earlier results in a better quality sleep for me. I am aiming for a 8 hour eating window. I'm determined to get to grips with my weight gain.
I made 2 loaves of bread today. It will be fine for toasting but chestnut flour creates a texture like bread pudding. I also used chia but will be going back to linseeds. Once I've used up the chestnut flour I won't be using it again. Going to try fermented teff flour mixed in with buckwheat next time. The good thing I tried was topping the loaf with sunflower seeds. I thought they might burn but they didn't. I will use them on the next loaf.
FROG
I had a call to make to do with finances that I failed to do
I will prioritise this for tomorrow

Perhaps do a sweet bread and have it with custard, cream or ice cream.
Good luck with the frog.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

I have been up and showered for a while and now have a cup of tea.
FROG EATEN I have just eaten the financial frog after seeing opening hours at the organisation start at 7am. My kind of hours! So the issue is resolved. Or, not resolved but I know where I am with it so I can take it from there.
Today I need to go to visit my old host to collect a few things. It is quite a way from here so fares will be pricey...
There was a job I was going to apply for but after a chat with a friend I'm going to not apply and leave my head completely clear whilst I am away. I am applying for funding in December and if I am unsuccessful I will start applying for jobs on my return.
I was going to visit the dental hygienist before I go but there are no appointments so will use the dentist where I go for tooth cleaning instead. It will probably be cheaper anyway.
My BS was all over the place for the past few days. My joints and back were very stiff and swollen too. After stopping eating at 5pm and no alcohol yesterday this morning feels better. I will make some soup to take with me when I leave the house and I will be careful to limit carbs and stop eating at 5pm.
NEW FROG Again it is a financial one. I am seeing a pattern and it confirms financial frogs and technical frogs are the hardest to eat. This one has been jumping around forever and is a hybrid frog (technical and financial) might explain the difficulty...Anyway I need to GET IT EATEN
Wishing everyone a positive day

Happy to help (if I can) with technical frogs anyway.
I'm really interested in the funding you apply for. It sounds like it funds your creative work is that right?3 -
Dairy free custard or something? Hope your tummy settles, it could be partly due to everything that's going on and should calm while you're away.
Well done tackling the frog, now it's time to stop the other one growing.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3
