It's a shame HIPs never worked out during the trial as that would have cut a load of time with buying and selling properties and would help rule in / out properties without going through weeks of waiting for surveys only to find out the property isn't as expected and the budget isn't available after buying.

Well done for meeting the deadline.

Hope the podcasts were beneficial. Close your eyes and create a relaxing event, whether it's reading, open swimming or something else, it does make a difference.

    Thanks @MovingForwards :)

Did I listen to podcasts and do my form? No...I went to sleep instead. Asleep before 9 and up early feeling so much better. More positive and glimpsing newspaper headlines about the housing market it looks like I will benefit as an unencumbered buyer, as @mark55man says 'it is not a bad position to be in' (sorry to all those who need a stronger housing market right now)

Today I'm having kippers from an independent smokehouse and doing breakfast as a treat for my host. Will buy tomatoes and smother them with herbs, garlic and oil and grill them. Yum! I've gone decaf and about to try Lid1 offering too.

Later today there will be a family party. I'm pleased for a family gathering where it is for a positive reason  :)

MSE small news. I am up in time to do an early morning Lid1 run. Hoping for YS bargains as a FR chicken has increased in price by 20% although it is still good chicken and good value

    Wishing everyone a good day

Sounds like you needed that good sleep.  Have a good day :)

Thanks @WelshmansDaughter and @jwil :) The power of sleep eh?

A quick post to ask if anyone has discovered a filter/ground decaf they are happy with?

  • I prefer dark roast coffee- I don't know if this is your preference. Starbucks do a nice decaf in dark roast and will grind it for you. Expensive though. The costco brand is nice as well, I got it from amazon in a ginormous tin. Other than that the barley coffee alternative isn't bad, more like instant coffee though.

Good luck with the house viewing. Yes you could be the ideal buyer right now.

Thanks. It seems from research that the nice SBs coffee is the same as the C brand. Will buy if anyone is going to C  :)

So, where am I with my list of things to do? Ok, I know it has been going for quite a few days now...anyway it is officially complete now  :)
    • chase fee
    • meet a creative work deadline
    • send a form related to interest
    • write to HMRC and go to the PO
    • chase missing document
The document chasing was a pain but I've been assured it is ok now.

HMRC I called at exactly 8am and got through within 20 minutes (thanks @maggiem) Bad news. I owe them £500. It is highly unlikely I will succeed but I'm challenging. They will write to me with a decision in 121 days :D Going to arrange to repay at a very slow rate if I have to repay. At least I know now....

I am applying for creative funding. Finally got around to looking at criteria and deadline passed today at 12.00 midday  :(  Poor organisation on my part. The next round is early 2023 so I will get ready for that...

I've been moaning about the price of GF natural bread for ages. I have the ingredients for a buckwheat loaf and soaking buckwheat now. (cost about £3.50 not including oven time but will use oven for a few trays of roast veg too) This saves me £4 a loaf...I was waiting to perfect this until I moved to my new home but my host is happy for me to do it from her home. She is very lovely  :)

    Did a charity shop drop

I won on the PBs. £150. Before I could begin planning ways to spend it. I transferred the whole lot to my CC

I found a decaf to try that someone had recommended

    Didn't get a job I went for  :/

Walked 40 minutes today, half downhill and half up.

Changed my viewings to the weekend, hoping a few more come up so I can group view as a bit more MSE

    Hoping everyone is ok
