You've done the first week, it's always the hardest with getting to know systems, remembering names and sussing the building out. Starting earlier does make a difference with travel and personal time. Keep telling yourself it's not forever and your 'out' isn't far away.

Glad to read you've survived and succeeded with tech challenges. Maybe over time work will agree to WFH as it makes such a massive difference in time. 🤞🤞

I think being kind to yourself during such a stressful and exhausting week is essential. Sorry to read clothes no good either but best to return quickly. The scarf sounds like a real bargain.

Sun is shining here so hope it is where you are too and you can have a relaxing weekend.
Thank you. It is agreed I cab WFH for half of the time. Problem is I don't have a home yet...

Glad it's gone ok and there are some good wins in there as well as challenges!

I hope work will allow WFH sometimes - even 1 or 2 days will make a big difference.
Thank you. The wins were mostly about acquiring new skills.
Hi @doingitanyway, hope you don't mind me popping in.

Glad your first week went ok, but totally empathise with the 'not really what I want to be doing with my time' feeling. Working and commuting is tiring. Personally I don't recover in anywhere near the time I did when I was younger, so I've had to accept that I need to spend some extra money for timesaving and convenience at the moment.

I think maybe you're doing this for a short term aim, though, (? - sorry if I'm wrong) so keep your eyes on the prize, and make it as easy on yourself as possible.

Excellent find on the scarf
    Thank you for popping in.
You are right, I  can do what I could do when I was younger but the recovery takes much longer!
I agree with prioritising timesaving and convenience even if not very MSE
    The scarf is beautiful
Eyes on the prize indeed  :)

True @savingholmes this is a short term plan. I can reassess when I am in the new home.

Thanks @another_casualty I'm not going to worry about coffees for now. Good advice. Will use the keyboards I can get hold of for now as that is the free option but the wireless sounds good too.

Thanks @WelshmansDaughter I'm working on making the commute easier

Thanks @MovingForwards I will keep going. As you say, hopefully my 'out' is imminent  :)

Thanks @beanielou the scarf is so soft too  :)

  • Everything sounding great DIA 😼
The only thing I'd advise , is to not go without breakfast on work days. Have something, no matter how small. Otherwise you may get headaches / feel giddy etc.
As to the supplements .. some are best had in morning or lunchtime . Some with meals
You probably know better as to what you're taking etc.
I couldn't take berocca at nighttime for example ,as I'd have trouble sleeping .
    I'll leave it there ..😼
