Lightly fry it with garlic for a quick snack, take this frog down like you've done the others. Pension companies seem to have a knack for not understanding urgency or wanting things done right.
Book sounds great, I won't be the only one waiting to hear what you've cooked.

@doingitanyway how about Rotary? O know they often donate money round here for things like wheelchairs. I'm so excited about your new house! Love Humdinger xx4

Good news on the pension - hopefully they will sort the second error out quickly too.
I can relate on the spending to save - having stocked my tin cupboard this week - but it feels like inflation hedging and is difficult to resist. I also got some YS goodies. It does help - as long as they aren't all extras.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks @MovingForwards I'm off to rebudget in a cafe soon
You all have to wait longer as I won't be cooking until I move to the new area...
Thanks @Humdinger1 I love your energy. Thank you for being excited for me as I am scared to be excited for myself in case the vendor pulls out
Thanks @savingholmes yes, really pleased re the pension even if it is still wrong! I am making progress with getting it right.
Yesterday I was at relatives. Very full on...Washing, cleaning, meds, emptying rubbish, going to shop when carers came. A tiring but worthwhile day.
I can report I have eaten a financial frog that has been hopping around since early April. I am now in receipt of the money. I need to pay for my next trip. As soon as the money appears I will pay it over
I am going for a walk and a coffee now

Thank you @MovingForwards and @savingholmes
There are no more financial frogs to eat. Well I. have to contact pensions again but that isn't urgent. Tomorrow I will start a general frog list and add that in....It is amazing how the house galvanised me into action. I. now have everything ready for when the vendor says 'go'
I had a wobbly day yesterday. It has only been 2 weeks but I am worried that the vendor does not yet have a house to go to. When the vendor does find somewhere there is likely to be an upwards chain. It all feels too long and too precarious. Obviously that is the nature of house buying...
I am going to keep viewing other properties not listed with the EA I have the offer accepted with. I saw somewhere that has now gone that is in a less ideal location but the current accepted really is ideal for location and for my needs. It is good to have a space to dump my concerns as in RL everyone s so pleased for me I can't share my doubts.

I am thinking very seriously about selling my bike. The money can go over to the solicitors/survey fund. Where I am going is hilly and no-one cycles. Silly keeping it in storage....Walking will be my way of getting fit. There is a Next D00R thingy here so thinking of sticking it on there. Or gumtr33?
More financial juggling today (I seem to spend loads of time dong this in cafes) I need to magic up some money (without using my cc...keeping it clear for unexpected house buying costs...) for- cottage next week
- dentist next week
- money for host
- money for retreat in August

Good luck DIA - bikes don't tend to go for too much, but every little helps
Fingers crossed for you and the house and (as yet unknown) chain - they may be struggling with properties in the same way you did - and they probably are sat back with your offer knowing that's "settled" but without the imagination to know that your wait is more difficult than theirs
the boost your income boards have some good ideas, but a lot are more youth oriented. I saw this on reddit (I know its not MSE site) but this user earns £500 per months from surveys and sign ups and some seem like the sort of thing you could fit in - getting paid for talking about dish washers and health care seems very doable https://www.reddit.com/r/beermoneyuk/comments/v2b79b/who_paid_you_in_may_heres_my_list/ . The general beermoney site is swamped with bank account swaps and crypto sign ups but there is the old jewel. Even if its not cash up front if you know you have £50 coming then I would be OK with adding to my CC knowing I could pay back when paidI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

I'm sure you are right about the vendor. I. am being totally irrational as I have only been waiting a few weeks. It helps to share my thoughts all the same...
The bike is a bit niche. It is hard to get them made at the moment. The bike in question is currently going for more than the price of newer models due to scarcity so I am confident of a good price. It s just working out whether I. want to sell it or not.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
