@doingitanyway - way back we had a conversation about having coffees at posh hotels being not that much more expensive but a real treat, especially in a holiday (by which I mean seaside) location. For £15 it sounds like you will have a real Michelin treat - most starters are in the £7-£10 range these days
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Smiling and waving and looking so fine6 -

Thanks @savingholmes
Thanks @mark55man I remember the conversation about hotels and coffees. Thanks. It prompted me to target the hotels nearby for coffee.
Thanks @MovingForwardsI wish you were right, but no, just choosing not to do them sometimes as it can get too stressful. Many more to eat. But I need days off too. A few more financial ones will be especially hard to eat. Gulp.
So today I completed and dispatched a job application in one day! (FROG) Getting faster. It isn't even due in for another 2 weeks so won't hear for ages. I have another to look at tonight. I need to be sure I really might want to do it!
I stopped myself popping into a stupidmarket as I have enough food. Spent on fares, a coffee, a tea, a piece of cake (reduced in the health shop) £8.20! Yes really! Much cheaper to go the club (under £3.30)
Lunch packed for my day house hunting tomorrow. Making a flask. One is a mystery as no photos but sounds good, if a little over renovated, to see. The other is in the right road but opposite a business and it has fewer original features. It is tenanted but don't worry, I won't proceed unless it is fully vacant. Just want to look...
I hope everyone is ok today.

Good luck with the job applications and the house hunting"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

Thanks @savingholmes and @jwil
I'm still frittering: coffee, tea, cake, 2 secondhand books, smoked salmon, from Ald1, tomatoes =18.80 so the best part of £20 and I took lunch in with me!!I also spent on fares but they were essential, so not frittering there...
I went to view 2 houses. The first had a tenant. He pointed out rendering and damp below the window. I said the garden was nice. He countered it is a wind trap. He was a nice guy but clearly not keen on the house being bought. I viewed the second house. It is perfect for me. I offered at the asking price. We shall see next week, but my confidence in the whole house buying/selling has gone. Despite it being perfect for me I am gearing up for best and finals followed by someone who has more money than I have! Telling you lot but no one in RL as it is an additional burden when I don't get it after they have been so excited for me.
I ate cake today. It was nice!
I visited a small park I hope to live within a few minutes walk of...
Determined not to dream myself into this house!
I hope everyone had a good day
