I too laughed at @Brie 's comments... My grandad said 'If your shoes hurt it shows on your face'. So definitely worth investing in shoes.
Good luck with the role it sounds fantastic.

Thanks everyone
Once again @Brie, you made me laugh!
So, I didn't manage to take the shoes back yesterday so did so today. I was waylaid by a sale. There were many things that fitted, I liked and wanted but I narrowed it down to 3 must have items. I bought a hoodie (59/18) trousers (69/20) A dress (85/25) So I spent £63 instead of £208. Still a lot to spend, but all high quality items.
I went to my sisters and popped into my favourite cs. I purchased an Italian bag: beautiful leather. Lots of useful pockets and a space for my phone and cards. This bag retails for £180-£200. I paid £20. Perfect condition. Really pleased. Gave it a polish and using it already!
I resisted buying any food or drink out. MSE yes, but it would have been more sensible to take water, coffee and an apple
A hugely spendy dayNot sure how I feel about my spending. Everything was spendy, but also MSE
I will have to redo my CV as my trusty one was on the stolen laptopAt least it won't cost anything.
I hope everyone is okay.

Regarding the cv , I’m going to try a shortcut with mine tomorrow..
I’m gonna type in either ‘cv’ or the people I’ve sent one to on the search button of my emails. If that works, I should be able to forward email to myself and drag cv to desktop or possibly forward it directly to my recipient if that makes sense .Sounds bizarre but may be worth a try.I don’t think you should be too hard on yourself with spending as you’ll probably claw it back . You do have many no spend days also .
I’ll leave it there..😼7 -
Thanks @another_casualty.
Funnily enough I just did the search thing with my emails. The problem is I cleaned up the box a few weeks back and now the emails with the CV have all gone
So no shortcuts. Will have to redo and worse still remember! It will be somewhere on a usb but that will be in storage. Going to start it tonight...
Editing to say ate too much cake and cheese. Throwing the rest of the cheese and going for a walk in an attempt to digest it. Hmmm, this is what happens when I a) buy cake and b) go all day without eating. Must do better...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. I agree with MF - there are plenty of great CV templates around and you are obviously creative so can get a good wow factor.
if your mail program allows it I find searching on attachments really narrows the number of items (especially in your sent folder) and you can usually tell pretty quickly. Also I find searching easier on a laptop/desktop than a phone.
But as above I would be inclined to do it from scratch. The things I advise my kids to do
* Put a lot of thought into the covering letter and/or email but basically saying available, reliable, super keen and suitably qualified and that you love the look of the job/company
* Make sure your CV has experiences in it that match the requirements. If a few of them are difficult then try and get as close as you can - at the same time try not to be too mechanical - I find the natural fit vibe is super strong
* Don't forget to include the successes (retreats, members club) even if you think its no big deal they show you are a winning person and that others have decided to go with you
* Maybe try and have your sister or Bestie look at the job spec and your application to check compliance and "pick me energy"
Anyway DIA I Know you got this, and the above is pretty standard advice but when my kids were doing this they did forget to do this basic stuff. On the jobs they really wanted they did this and are 100% recordI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine7
