  • Maybe have the break away, get your thoughts and energy back  together and look for a house when you come back.

Registering with a GP sounds like a good idea .

    Have a lovely break.

Good idea to register with the GP.  I recently bought a blood pressure machine, I got it from the British Heart Foundation website as I wanted to be sure it would be a decent one and I needed to be sure that I could get a matching large cuff with it.  I bought the most basic machine they have and it's really good.  I plan on using it for a week or two to get a baseline that is normal for me, then just check it periodically to keep an eye on things.

We can borrow them from the library here, but I think that might be a local thing rather than a national thing.

Definitely have a look at the house if it's in the right area and around your budget.

If you are buying a BP machine it may be an idea to compare the results with one from a doctors.  I was fortunate when I got mine that a friend had to do a couple of readings a day with one on loan from the doctors.  Fortunately it was spot on.  If nothing else it puts your mind at rest that you haven't bought a mistake.  I must confess that I was very pleasantly surprised at the price.

I got this one for Mr SA as it was the same make as the one the GP surgery loans out. Seemed to be pretty accurate.
