I like the way you turned that into a positive!MovingForwards said:Sorry to hear about the savings and surveyor not accepting CC.
As you've an abundance of rice make a couple of risottos, we've done it with all types of rice. If you've got pasta, go traditional Italian style with a small amount of sauce for flavour.

DIA can you use the £5 free asd@ voucher by downloading the app? Instructions are in last weeks MSE savings email. I’ve downloaded it today and am going to try and use it tomorrow to get £5 free on next shop. My nearest store is on my way home from aquafit. There doesn’t seem to be a minimum spend but it does mean going twice, so unfortunately no good if you would spend that much going out of your way to get there.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗

Thank you @Skint_yet_Again
A nice idea. Unfortunately Mr A is the only SM we don't have here.
Yesterday I had a migraine. Stress plus ultra hot weather equals a migraine in my little world
Today I had a short walk at 7.30 before the sun got hot. After 2 NSDs I spent £13 on food for the house. I picked up some shopping including some loin cod reduced from £6 to £2. I bought 2 lots and the second package is in the freezer after washing, adding lime and seasoning. I have already made giant fish fingers for later. Mr L had specials on cauliflowers and courgettes so bought those to roast with !!!!!!. Making some garlicky tomato sauce to go with it.
I cancelled a social meet as I don't feel up to it. I used the budgeted amount for food.
I have stock so will be making a veggie soup for lunch.
I am all clear for my trip at the end of the month after finally paying the balance and getting last ticket.
My CC statement came. I have a clear balance. I need to keep it clear for unexpected and expected house costs.
The only frog for the day is to set up regular payments for the CU in case I need them.
I'm still a bit wiped out so an easy day.
Good news, after 2/3 weeks of IF and watching my weight it is finally going down.
I hope everyone is okIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I've been dreading having to post this. I've not yet told my family and only 2 people know, but here goes...
The survey threw up structural issues. The surveyor would not recommend purchasing it. A long story. But this is a house that looked perfect! I fell in love with it. But I am trying to take the advice of, 'walk away, don't look back.'
Trying to think of what I could have done differently. I did everything text book, the survey, searches and the draft contract was ready within 4 weeks. Next time I will ask 'what alterations have you done and do you have the necessary permissions' I will ask this at my very first viewing.
My host has been brilliant and wants me to stay until I find somewhere. I can't tell you how much that means to me.
On the plus side (I have to find one) prices are dropping where I am looking and I never liked the idea of blowing my entire budget. I can also stop being quite as frugal and breathe out for a bit...
My ducks are completely in a line for next time.
Giving myself time for it all to sink in
