Sorry you were stressed today DIA . However, it won't take long to feel better as you don't get despondent for long, if that makes sense 😼
Regarding the RM searches , the market is much more volatile than when I was buying in Brexit times . I was going to recommend contacting the local estate agents once a week and do the RM once a day but it's crazy at the moment as we know , so I don't know. You are still doing lots and with great organisation . Hopefully your frog eating 🐸and your current day to day stuff will keep you sane.Stay with your plans ..5 -
Thanks @another_casualty you were right (as you often are) as today the tide is turning
Thanks @savingholmes for the vote of confidence
Yesterday ended up being a family day as I spent time with my sister and had a trip out with my uncle.
The charity shop bag is still here. Hair and nails still below par and the financial frog uneaten yesterday...
More wrong walking shoes to return. Grrhhh...
On the other hand I made soup had a lovely time with my uncle
A plan began to grow yesterday and I sent out a few texts before I went to bed and woke up with positive responses. So, I now know I am staying with a friend after my cottage break. I am turning the discomfort I will feel at being in someone else's house into a positive. The plan is to apply for a grant for a private members club for creatives. If successful I will pay a fraction of the cost and can work there. If successful this could be the opportunity to get lots of work done! There is a bus that goes all the way so that could be my M-F routine.
Another friend said to come to hers this weekend and she will drop me at the station to go to the country cottage.
If that isn't enough... This morning I ATE THE FINANCIAL FROG. I know it took me long enough...
Off to pursue the grant application.
Hope everyone is ok todayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Great stuff DIA 😼
Very positive post . All sounds good .5 -
You are doing brilliantly @doingitanyway and so sorry about your bereavement before Christmas. The cottage sounds nice and hope you eventually get those walking boots/shoes sorted. My favourites are Meindl/Berghaus/Scarpa but I do a lot of walking and always get them in the sales. You need to try them on though. When I used to buy walking boots I used to like the fact that at Cotswold they had a great variety of shoes and boots and didn't expect anyone to choose in under an hour. There was a wooden bridge to walk over so your could feel the fit at different angles and a rocky path to try as well. And the shop was huge so you could really get a good stride going. Other shops tend to want to hurry you along to the till and don't provide the room to try things out properly.

Thanks @another_casualty and @savingholmes
Thanks @enthusiasticsaver. I have been trying on. These arrived after my session in an outdoor shop. There were Berghaus that fitted but I wanted an extra half size for thicker socks and they didn't have them. I might have to return and order the size I need.
Thanks @Brie I used the shop you mentioned and I was impressed by their service. They didn't have the size I wanted unfortunately but I was impressed with their service.
Unusual for me to post twice in one day but I heard back from the private members club for creatives. They have said yes to my application. I am really pleased. It will take the edge off staying in someone else's home. I have a beautiful space to work from 6 days a week if I need it. A place to escape to! It should be MSE as there is a floor where you can eat and drink so I plan to take a pack up daily. So today I 'saved' £400 off my annual membership. I still have a smaller amount to pay, but I can spread that over 12 payments. I am looking forward to going there
I hope everyone has a relaxing evening. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
