The cups and saucers sound lovely. I spotted a set in a CS yesterday that I'm considering going back for if they are still there.

Possibly feel short changed as it wasn't that good, whereas if it was better you probably wouldn't have noticed the cost.

Everyone needs great C&S to drink from and it appears a bargain was bagged.

    Enjoy the concert 😃

Glad you had  a nice time away.   The cup and saucers and new lunchbox sound like purchases that will bring you joy and also save money so well worth it.

I agree that £30 on a day not really enjoyed seems a lot more than the same amount on a day that was great.

    Thank you @savingholmes @MovingForwards and @jwil :)

I seem to have been away for ages...

I did not get the job so that was another of life's little knocks. There was an aspect of the job I was dreading so maybe just as well...

Loads of family stuff but I am handling it well.

No new homes. I nearly cracked and started considering something that really would have been too much of a project. After showing it to a few people, they were worried so I haven't gone for it. The hunt continues...

MSE wise I am £100 short of my savings target for the month. Having a target concentrated my mind. I have cheated a bit as I am including interest in that target. The aim being to grow my actual savings by a set figure a month.

I am going away for the week, but taking food with me again, as shops are aimed at the tourist market with silly prices. Trying my best not to overspend. Trying not to fritter so the money is there for important things.

I will be doing a creative project whilst away.

Looking forward to time alone as usual

    Hope everyone is ok.

Sorry to hear about the job and the house hunt.

    Enjoy your week away. :)

Good luck with your savings targets, I don't think it's cheating to include interest, it's adding to your balance anyway.

Three weeks away for free sounds good , but will it interfere with house hunting and possible job interviews. Veg box sounds good , I am nearly vegetarian at the moment , I don't enjoy meat very often.
