Thanks @jwil
Sorry @WelshmansDaughter no branch in Dublin
Coming on with a secret I don't want to share in real life as friends/family too invested...I've been shortlisted for a brilliant job. I don't expect to get it, but it will be such good experience just being interviewed. And you never know, stranger things have happened...Will know by the end of next week...
Today after the big financial frog and the stress involved I got waylaid...the list carries over to tomorrow! If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Delighted but not at all surprised @doingitanyway! Congratulations on all the frogs you're eating too...reminds me of that sketch about the restaurant where the only thing you could order was frog a la peche; unless you preferred peche a la frog, of course. Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx4

With a spawn cocktail to start - I would always go for the frog a la peche - the other is just revolting (although I have had my moments with Cointreau)
Fab news on the job DIA - everything crossed for youI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Thanks @beanielou @savingholmes @in_need_of_direction@jwil @Sunshine_girl2
@Humdinger1 didn't know that sketch but yes frogs every which way for me
@mark55man 'spawn cocktail?'
I have been fighting a bug for the past few days. This morning I have woken with ear and muscle aching, especially my neck. Background headache too. Hoping it is on its way out. I have just kept going anyway. Yesterday I went on a trip to the coast for the day. Nice to see the sea and catch up with a friend. Chips on the pier. They were excellent. £3.90 for a small portion. I kid you not! I've noticed coffee is going up, so need to get the flask back in regular use.
I ate another financial frog and now there are no more to eat on the financial front. That feels nothing short of miraculous.
I'm keeping an eye open for jobs so if I don't get the one I'm interviewing for I still have options.
I've been reading the How much to live on thread. I have revised my retirement income upwards. So I need an additional income until state pension age. I'm sure a small, enjoyable, part time role would be a good thing. I would do my creative thing too of course, but work will increase my income, my social life and is good for my brain.
Today is a quiet day
To do list
I need to buy a spray bottle and some magnesium
I will make some soup for lunch
I will buy some ground almonds (baking a cake on Monday)
Veggie curry for supper so looking for a swede I can mash to go with it. I need to avoid the dreaded white rice as it is very bad for blood sugar control.
Enough of the waffle.
Have a good day all.

Are you on blood sugar control @doingitanyway? I've just managed to reverse type 2 diabetes and that has been key. Happy to discuss on your thread or by PM if that's better? Love Humdinger xx2
