Thank you both
Test is negative thankfully, and headache has cleared with gallons of water and some paracetamol. Fingers crossed that's it!
My folks have got the house. It needs lots of work so they are not moving in immediately but at least its theirs now!

Happy day off to me! And happy payday!
I've now seen my new pay after our 'pay rise' and I'm getting a whole £3 a month extra - go me! I'm excitedly considering what I am going to spend my new found wealth on
One item sold on ebay, and I've also done some stamps for the swap out, so I'll post those this morning. A birthday card too, and I'll order a voucher online as the gift.
I've got my course this morning and then will be dropping my steam cleaner and a couple of bits to my folks, so I don't think I'll achieve a lot today, but at least I've got time to do all that uninterrupted
I need to do the financials too.
Have a good day everyone"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
Happy pay day! Mine too, but I did the shuffle and now I’m broke 🤣
I got a small rise too…don’t forget some of the NI increase will have cancelled out the rise 😖Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Yes, it will be the NI, so should get some extra when that changes again. I'll have a look at my payslip and see how much I really got as a rise."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Enjoy your long weekend. I imagine it will be similar for me on the pay rise until July when I think it's due to bounce back a little when the NI threshold changes.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
