I've finished at a decent time today which is good.  I'm frustrated though as the time I had allocated for tackling my big urgent tasks is rapidly filling up with meetings that I can't turn down.

My GP texted me to say that they are holding a cervical smear testing open evening later this month.  You can just drop in and have a test.  That's good news as I've been meaning to book mine for ages, but just can't find a convenient time.  This will mean I can tick off a frog from my to do list without any hassle with juggling work and school etc.  Fab idea!

Sleep and diet still not great but I did make the effort to walk the kids to school this morning so small victory achieved.

Well done walking with the children. I find as long as I stick to TRE the damage of a poor diet tends not to be too great. You'll be back on track soon  :)

Thank you :)  I really hope the TRE will be my saving grace and that I get myself organised again.

Such a busy week this week.  I've achieved lots but still not completed lots too.  Hopefully I'll have fewer meetings next week so can get on.

It's my weekend now though!  Tomorrow little miss has an assembly and then I'm heading into town with my Mum.   The kids have swimming in the evening.   This weekend we are hoping to do the prep for the electrics, emptying the loft etc.  I'm hoping they will confirm they've received the payment.  They seem to contact on a Friday, so if I haven't heard anything tomorrow I'll message them.

Time restricted eating - eat less hours of the day - better for the body and reduces the temptation window

Yes, exactly this.  I try and eat all my food between 9am and 7pm - a 10 hour eating window with a 14 hour fast.  Lots of studies have shown that eating like that rather than spread out over around 15 hours which most of us do, helps with blood sugars and other health outcomes, even if you don't change your diet.  For me, I eat less too as no evening snacking.

10 hour eating window suits me really well and you can choose what hours suit your lifestyle best.  Others do a 12 hour eating window, or an 8 hour eating window.  8 hours will probably get even better results, but 10 hours seems to be a sweet spot between seeing benefits and it actually being manageable for a lot of people.  I think they suggest that where possible you stop eating 2-3 hours before bedtime but other than that you can do any window of time.  You can drink water and unsweetened black tea/coffee outside of the eating window, but no milk or sugar or anything containing calories.  Obviously continue to take any meds etc at normal times.
