I've updated the finances but I need to redo my spreadsheet with the new accounts. I've shuffled money everywhere this month, so I'm confused as to what is what! Most of the money for the electrics I've popped into PBs so that I can withdraw it easily but also have a chance of winning something while it's there."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Happy November everyone!
I'm a bit worried as my DDs don't seem to have been taken from the new account. The money is in there, and they are showing in the list of payments, but nothing's gone. I'm hoping it will update maybe in banking hours.
We've also had the quote from the electrician. £2.7k to remedy the urgent issues and to do the work we wanted done. I'm minded to accept it. If I dip into all available pots, I can come up with it. I've still got the switching bonuses, and if the pay award goes through I should get a bit of back pay which can either contribute or can replenish some of the pots. DH will have a bit of a task to try and ensure there is enough space in the garage and loft to enable the work to be done.
I got barely any sleep last night with it all whirring around my head. Today will be fun.
Have a good day everyone."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -

I would go for the electrical quote.
