Thank you :)  It's all going ok, the electrician is in all week.  Progress is being made which is good :)  It's challenging trying to manage everything and work, but I'm getting there.  Can't wait for it all to be done!

Thank you!   I couldn't wait, but now I've got little miss home with me so that's scuppered my plans :D:D

Electrician has confirmed he's not going to get everything done this week, so is going to have to come back.  I guessed it would be the case, but it's more juggling, and things are busy with school events so it's going to get harder.

He's nearly finished the second bedroom so if nothing else, the kids rooms will be done so that's good.

I have found it very difficult this week juggling work, school and having a stranger in the house.  I feel so uncomfortable.  Having to keep moving furniture around each morning and evening has been extra to do as well, but hopefully that won't need to be done any more.

It's blooming lovely joining the 21st century though and will be great for the kids to have 'normal' bedrooms.

I went to my GP for the cervical screening open evening this week.  Such a brilliant idea, they were open in the evening, and you could just drop in and have the test, no appointment needed.  It was so easy and convenient.  I did say so and they said that lots of people had said the same, so it was obviously worthwhile doing it.  Another thing ticked off the 'to do' list (which has been on there a few months 🙄 )

I had a phone call from school today telling me little miss had been sick and I needed to collect her.  They don't know she was sick because no one saw it, and she apparently said it when she came out of the toilet.  Picked her up and she says she wasn't sick and wasn't ill. 🤷‍♀️  She's been fine, but is coughing a bit so maybe she coughed something up.  I'll keep her home tomorrow as I assume they'll want to follow the 48hr rule, but I am quite cross.  Is it just the case that they can say they are sick now and get a free pass to go home?  I understand that they don't want bugs etc, but it seems extreme, especially as apart from the cough, she's not in the slightest bit ill.

I have to work on Saturday so little respite this weekend, but at least I'll get the time back.  Tomorrow I have the final session of my prediabetes course.  I think recently I've undone all my good work.  I'm not on track, and am eating so much convenience food because I always seem to be rushing about.  I haven't eaten at all well this week as I haven't liked to cook with the electrician in, so even lunch has been grabbed stuff.  I haven't been to the office, so I haven't done the walking.   I hope to get back on track when things settle down a bit.  The good news is, although I've put on a little, it's only a couple of lbs, so I'm still lighter than when I started the course.

I was hoping to use tomorrow to sort out little miss's birthday gifts and to unpack all my Christmas stuff and make sure I've got everything.  Best laid plans and all that, as I can't do it with her home.  I'll find some time over the weekend as it's her birthday next week.

I have to join a meeting next Friday which is annoying, but I'm hoping they'll let me take the time back in advance on Thursday so that I can attend little miss's Christingle service.  I've booked a day off leave so I can attend the nativity the following week.  Next weekend is busy with the school fayre and little miss's birthday trip bowling.

Not long til the school holidays and I'm off too, so I'm hoping to knuckle down, just chill and do some good, healthy food for us all during that time, as none of us are eating particularly well at the moment.  I can't wait for the rest!

Its so difficult for working parents to be there for all their children events at Christmas. You have my sympathy as I have been there but only had one child. There seems to be no consideration that most mothers work these days and find it difficult to get time off. My bugbear was always the short notice I got.

I always struggled juggling everything too. Good you were able to adapt Jwil.

Hope the electrician finishes soon - good that the kids rooms are done - does that mean you can finish decorating in there (inbetween obviously sweeping the yard and whistling dixie  :D )?
