You are doing amazing @jwil 😊 and a real inspiration. I am not enjoying the pre-diabetes workshops at all. I know what I need to do and could probably deliver the workshops 🙈. My problem is mindset - I eat with my eyes and like to feel full. However a fresh start next week - my boys go back to school on Tuesday & I go back to work on Tuesday after 10 days off!
we have just had a few days in your part of the world I think & I nearly pm’d you to ask where to go. Our football team were playing on Wednesday night so we tied a trip into watch them (my 10yr old said we shouldn’t have bothered after we lost! 😂😂) We visited WSM, Brean, SS Great Britain & Cheddar Gorge - very impressed & will definitely be back. One day I would like tolive closer to the sea - we are about 1.5 hours away.Carry on being fabulous & winning at life - you have got this! Xx2 -

I've read that too, and I also read that even just 2 minutes will make a big difference. The thing I read said that 1-1 1/2hr after eating was the best time, and by then I've usually got engrossed in something and forget. I definitely need to work on that!

You were definitely in my part of the world, you would have been welcome to get in touch! I'm glad you had a good time. There's lots of lovely places here and I do love where I live. We're lucky, about 45 minutes either north or south and we've got very different coastlines.
Thank you very much. I'm not convinced I'm winning, but in the words of beanielou, I keep plodding!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Kids were back to school today, so it was nice to have a bit of peace. DH took his motorbike out so I sat in the sun and read, and relished the silence!
I did make the effort and walk them to school this morning so I'm very pleased about that. I'm hoping the exercise will make a difference. I'm in the 12 weeks before I will get my next blood test now, so everything I do now will hopefully show as a positive result. I can't pretend that I'm not disappointed that the weight isn't coming off faster, but I am recognising that I am creating better habits and hope that at some point I'll get to a tipping point where it all starts showing.
Today my weight I submitted was 2lb lighter than when I started the course which is ok, but also, I gained around 7lb in the meantime, so I've also lost what I gained. Hopefully it will all be down from here!
I've caught up on surveys and cashed out from PA, so a bigger PAD tomorrow. I'm nearly at an amazon voucher too on another site, so will add that to the Xmas fund.
Right, it's been around an hour since I finished eating, so I must go and move now for my sugars. Thanks for the reminder @satchmo1 . Happy Saturday!
I've taken little miss swimming and popped to Mr S on the way back. The kids are going to a birthday party this afternoon, and little miss says she wants me to stay. I shall take my kindle with me and hopefully find a corner to tuck myself away in. I won't know anyone anyway as it's for the little brother of one of little jwil's friends. He's there to keep his friend company, and little miss was also invited along which was very kind of them.
I'm not sure how much I'll claw back financially this month as we have several birthdays, and me and the kids are off to London for the day with my siblings and nieces and nephew later this month. That should be fab. I've already paid for the train tickets, so it will just be whatever I spend on the day. Hopefully next month!!

We've had some rain overnight and this morning. I genuinely can't remember the last time we've had enough to wet the ground. It's nice to see!
I'm tired today, and have just sneaked a peek at my work emails ahead of going back tomorrow. Loads of stuff to deal with (some of which I will have to refuse) and a load of urgent stuff when I've already got time blocked off in my calendar to meet a deadline *sigh*
A quiet day planned today, just chilling out. I think I'm going to make toad in the hole at lunchtime, need comfort food!
Have a good day everyone."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2
