This week has been a challenging week.  My new office and trying to get used to it.  I'm very proud that I walked both days but my knee is really painful now.  Walking in was a problem, but coming home was a challenge as it's very slightly uphill for most of the way.  Not hugely but enough when one is unfit and carrying a big bag!

New office is fine, very grand in some places, and there are probably good opportunities there.  However, it's close to town and although there are places to eat lunch (including at the desk!) I haven't yet found anywhere that I could go and tuck myself away for a bit of peace and quiet for a while.  I did walk to a park one day and that was nice, but it's obviously not great when it's wet, so I want to find an alternative option.  I miss just being able to tuck myself away in the car and having the quiet.

Well done for walking. Hope your knee improves soon.

  • Maybe try a knee support for the knee that hurts. Evenly distribute any weight when walking. Ideally get a back pack. Great that you upping the exercise. I should do the same!

    Thank you :)

Thank you.  My problem is I have really fat legs and knees, so don't know if there's a support that would fit.  I must actually look though, as I'm making assumptions.  I have a back pack provided by work many years ago but on emptying it yesterday, I realised just how heavy it is even without anything in it.  It's also very padded, so I can't actually fit a lot into it.  I'm going to try my own lighter weight one next week and see if that helps.
