Rather annoyingly I've had to book a meeting for Tuesday morning.  I made sure it was first thing though so it shouldn't take over the day.  It's my own fault, I sent out a tender on Thursday and someone emailed back asking for a meeting before I had put my out of office on.  It's a short deadline too, so I can't really put them off for a week.

No real plans for today at the moment, DH is on swimming duty with little miss, so I shall just chill out.  The house is reasonably tidy thanks to prepping for yesterday, and so I shall potter about in the house and the garden which is also looking reasonably tidy in some places.  I've definitely made progress over the summer holidays!

I washed down the stairs and all the skirtings around them the other day (we don't have carpet on the stairs at the moment).  Despite me hoovering them regularly, it's surprising how well they came up and make the hallway look brighter.  I need to give them a good scrub more frequently!

I'm very guilty of neglecting paintwork in the house, maybe giving it a hoover or dust now and again.  This has inspired me to give some more a good scrub and see how it improves it.

    Have a good day everyone!

sorry you got tricked into a meeting, I hate it when that happens.

I have absolutely decimated my pots this month!  I've still managed to add to my savings though so that's all good.  I need to try and rein it back over the next few months which is tricky due to birthdays and Christmas but I want to be prepared so am going to start getting things in now.  I've been adding stuff to an amazon wishlist as I think of it and am going to try and cover as much as I can with vouchers.  I'll also start adding the odd thing into my shopping as well food-wise.  I was all done by the end of November last year and it was lovely, so I'm going to try and do the same this year!

We haven't had a roast for ages as it's been too hot, but I fancy one today, so I think I'll do that.

Have a good day everyone :)

Have a lovely day. I think the run up to the kids going back to school is always expensive as is keeping them entertained over the holidays.

Enjoy your roast. I love mine... I made a one pot chicken casserole yesterday with lots of extra portions. That will be my equivalent today.

Yes, it's been an expensive month with school uniforms etc.  I'm glad we've managed to get out and about though, I usually feel guilty for not doing a lot with them, so I don't regret those spends.

    Enjoy your casserole, sounds lovely!

We've had our roast with the full works, yum!  I like to do a Sunday lunch as it means we can eat early and I feel like I get an evening off cooking.  I definitely eat less overall in the day if I have a bigger lunch too.

I hoovered through this morning,  flea treated the cat and sprayed the house.  Little miss keeps getting bitten, but I've no idea why.  I've got a couple, but she's got loads, not helped that she's a 'picker' and constantly keeps picking at them so they don't heal.  I've ordered her to wear leggings in the hope she can heal before going back to school.  She looks like she's got chickenpox!!

This afternoon is going to be a chill out afternoon.  We are still planning on selling at the car boot sale tomorrow, so I want to finish my book so I can add that, and I've got a few other things in mind to look out as well.  There's a couple of games the kids put out which are missing parts, so I might try and find the missing bits as well so they can go too.
