Some of my colleagues were in the new office yesterday so I gave them a good quiz about how things were and got them to put the camera on the laptop and show me the office. At least I can picture it a bit more now.
I've been thinking that I might not worry so much about the carbs on the two days I'm in the office so that I can still take something convenient like a sandwich. As long as I use wholegrains then hopefully it won't impact blood sugar too much. It will be offset with the walking too. It's only two days and I can try and go lower carb on the other 5 days. I don't want to eat a restricted, limited diet, I want it to be balanced with nothing off limits. But equally, I want to lose some weight!
In money terms, I joined the staff discount scheme, so I can look at where there is potential to make savings.
Thanks to MSE Martin, who has helpfully put the new standing charges and unit rates on FB, I have calculated our new price for fuel. We are currently paying £140 a month and now it looks like it will be around £244 a month. Not pleasant, but I know many have it much worse.
I need to go through our overall budgets and see how it all fits together.
I'm now on leave for a week. DH is off too, so we hope to do a nice few days out. One trip planned is to go to Bristol Zoo before it closes. Otherwise we shall try and make use of our NT membership to have some cheap days out. I still want to swim in the sea, but the beach I had planned to do that was one that was closed due to sewage outpouring the other week 🤢 So I'll need to check the water quality if we decide to go there!
Little miss has a friend coming round this morning. That's a big thing for me, as I've always refused to let people I don't know well in to the house due to the state. It says a lot about how things have improved even if I still get frustrated.

They might break a little when rolling but I roll in brown paper and eat from the wrapper.

Good idea re the 2 days you go in. Whole grains are great for BS so a sandwich is fine and as you say you will be walking more.
Great young ones can now have friends over.

Well little miss had fun with her friend, and she didn't want to go, so that's all been successful.
While they were playing, I've done 44 listings for DH. I hope they don't all sell at once!!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -
