I'm really tired at the moment, not sure why. Maybe it's the nights drawing in.
Work is busy but I'm achieving stuff which is all goodA 2 hr meeting yesterday turned out to be 40 mins long, that was a nice gain!
Last day tomorrow and I'm off for the week, hurrah!
After that, it will be back to school and my new office journey. I'm still trying to think of ideas for lunches. I'm trying to think of something easy to carry and that I can eat without cutlery or needing to heat it as I don't know what we've got yet. I saw someone say we aren't allowed to eat at the hot desks, and the only option was to eat outside, so until I know what's going on, I want something easy to deal with. Ideally something like a sandwich, packet of crisps and bar of chocolate - but not those as I want to be healthier, lower carb, and no chocolate! If anyone has any suggestions, then I'd love to hear them! I need to take my evening meal as well, so two meals, but not too heavy or bulky.
I'm still off chocolate, but have been eating ice cream, and I want to cut that back soon as well. Has anyone tried the Cadbury's dark milk ice creams? They are lush! I think they are triggering the chocolate beast a bit though, so need to stop buying them.
DH sold another two items today so that's all good. Someone is claiming they haven't received an item though which tracking says is delivered, so that's yet more nonsense to deal with."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hope you manage to find sensible lunch options. Surely there must be a microwave and breakout area if not allowed to eat at your desk...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

What about some home made soup in a food flask...maybe a bit warm for soup? Although I have it all year long!
Or a salad with plenty of good protein like smoked mackerel, or chicken and lots of seeds?
I used to have my own food as the office microwave has been gross in offices I've worked in!If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Employers have to provide some kind of area for staff to eat and drnk. Check the HSE website for workplace facilities.

I'm just trying to think of convenient lunches that aren't too faffy while I'm there, in case I do need to go outside or somewhere to get my alone time."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Frittatta maybe? Cut into chunks with your preferred veggies.
I do salad or soup and eat from the container or mug and have my own cutlery2 -
I make a thin chickpea wrap as it is gluten free but it is also a healthy option BS wise. Then use whatever as a filling. Really nice and quite filling too...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

A lot of places have rules like don't eat at desks but don't enforce them.... A break away will do you more good though... ProbablyAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
