Finally sat down and have taken the time to get the photos on my laptop from my phone to post here of my dungarees that I have been working on and jazzing up since the New Year. To be honest, it's not my favourite thing to do getting pics on here as I just find it such a faff but if this goes ok and I get some on here without too much faffing about I'm sure I'll gain some confidence and patience and add some more another time. Like others on here, I wish I could make the pictures smaller because the big pictures fill up so much space in a post. Right here goes, fingers crossed this is the first pair of dungarees I jazzed up
Added these flowers and leaves to the front right pocket of this pair of denim dungarees
ADDED THIS FLOWER POT TO THE FRONT LEFT LEG
Yay, it worked ok. Happy sewing and crafting everyone.

Hi, not a lot to report here. I've finished knitting the back and one front of my waistcoat. I adjusted the pattern and made it longer (30") so it seemed to take ages. Anyway I'm having a break from that now as new grandson is due on 27th May so I'm going to knit some more baby things. Not much sewing done either and I won't be doing much for the next couple of weeks as I'm decorating the kitchen. I used to be able to do all the decorating myself but will find it difficult now. I hate asking the kids as they're all so busy but my daughter in law has offered to come and paint the ceiling so I'm hoping to do the walls and woodwork myself.Happy Crafting
ps Edwink I love your flower pot - reminds me of this Applique cushion I madeDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

It’s been a while, so here goes!
Nimbo, isn’t it wonderful how crap becomes something fab in the hands of a crafter! Well done on quilt progress. Sloe gin – now that’s a brill stashbuster; even if you keep it all to yourself it gets happily decluttered!
Aw, Katiehound, I’m sorry your PO outlet is closing. We lost our village PO a few years ago and it’s still a big miss. Well done on getting all those doggy duvets made. I think you’re a bit of a bloodhound, finding all those patterns for choc oranges etc for Florenceem (and the rest of us). What pattern are you using for your dog coats? I STILL haven’t made the one I planned for my son’s wee Parson Russell. BTW 125g is definitely not a sharing size! And you certainly deserved them after all that crafting!
Oooh! Chocolate orange covers! I’m intrigued, Florenceem. Found the minion – well done. He is so cute. I like the wee bee too; he’s got personality. What did you use for the wings, in the end? Harry Potter ones too, fab, but I just am in love with your cat cushions! And a lovely card too!
I’m so sorry to hear that your dear Labrador passed away, AnimalTribe. No wonder you can’t settle to anything.
I wish I could get into scrapbooking, Tiggermad. I certainly have everything I need to do it already. I did try a few years ago, but I think it’s just that I have so many other things on the go! I encourage my family members to come and take cards any time, I give a boxload to daughter and daughter-in-law to take into their schools, whenever they have a fund raising sale, I make up packs and give them as raffle prizes whenever needed … At the moment, I have about 100 ready to go.
Congratulations on moving into your new home, emsi_b – and for getting back into crafting already. I just came across your fresh start post and I love the spirit of it.
Hello, Stashbuster. I’d love to try needle felting, but I cannot take on a new craft! I just can’t! Well done on completing the dress – and for getting started on next projects already.
I love keeping track of my projects too, Sammy_kaye18. Very satisfying – and motivating.
edwink, I think your dungarees are amazing! Very creative.
plumduff, your granddaughter sounds like my youngest one. Last year, when she was 3, she decided she wanted to come to the football with us and her big cousin (9yo football crazy girl ). She behaved very well, much to my surprise, and seemed to enjoy it. Afterwards, she announced she would NOT be back. Devastating! Your Easter bags are brill, btw; I especially like those pyramid ones. That’s a pretty cushion, too.
I hope your dogs have all recovered safely, cupcakecraftscuddlycanine.
Goodluck with your rag rug, beyondhelp? That should be a great stashbuster.
I’ve said it before Auti, but your bracelets are lovely.
As for me, I’ve not done much – sewed 2 gift bags, knitted a little of that wee cardi that I needed to get more wool for (just sleeves and front bands to do), 16 cards made. I need to get back in the groove – I blame that wee cardi!

Well, I've had something of a reprieve regarding the doggy duvets.
When I phoned last week to tentatively ask when I should fetch the collecting tin & remaining duvets I was told some had sold and that closing date is July 31st. At the time there were customers so I couldn't learn more, however next day Chrissie told me there was one duvet left! As I had planned to take the remainder to Dog Club (only 1 left there) I am back sewing duvets like a demented bat. I think 10 made in the last 4 days. I would like at least another 2 made.
I stuffed a couple of KS duvets in loft now I need to get one of them out again!!
Dog coat pattern. Erm. I use the only bought hound coat as a pattern- make it longer as it fitted a smaller hound. Originally I cut out a paper pattern - now I just guess. Someone gave me an old coat sized for a cavalier so I have a good idea of the various proportions having sewn umpteen for my own dogs and some for other folk. I know an old fleece gilet is approx dachshund length!
I always do a seam under the chin (bought ones have something adjustable like velcro) and then they are fixed on with soft tape so that ties round a thin or chunky tum! generally the fur fabric/ fleece/ whatever has a bit of give in it.
It's sad the PO is closing as that is a thriving village with school, village hall & a small supermarket, even on a bus route!. Guess not so many use the PO or they travel into town.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Great makes on here - jewellery, dungarees and cushion.
I am planning to make more chocolate orange covers. The chocs that I bought have a June 2023 date so will be okay for Christmas. If I don't sell the minion, bee, unicorn, hp covers - I will take them off and put on Christmas pudding covers etc.
I am feeling called to make some Christian cards so that is on my list.
I also want to make some of my raggy rag dolls.
Then of course - I have repairs from family and doll clothes to sew.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Stunning
I must admit I am a little concerned about washing them but have others that I have rolled up and put in a small net washing bag before putting in the washing machine, so I could try that. I could always hand wash them but wouldn't want them to drip dry for too long out in the sun as we are south facing and the sun beams down. Or I could hand wash them and then put them in the net washing bag and into the machine just to spin the water out. Maybe that would work better.

I think I would hand wash dungarees (inside out) and then spin.
having a break: 11 duvets made. material heap should be smaller... but not really.
Been into loft & extracted 3 x quarters of KS- hope to get them made tonight / tomorrow as I have duvet cover to convert. All the small ones (6) were pieced which takes longer- of course.
Also saw blankets - forgotten about them- to make rescue coats or to send to foreign rescue.
Took down large case for end of next week.
After duvets need to find summer clothes that fit (ha ha)Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
