1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks.
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

Wednesday continued as a damp day with a noticeable drop in temperature 🥶. Lovely surprise - our slightly grumpy neighbour popped across the road to give me a large box of Milk Tray as an apology for no Christmas card & thanks for the jar of hm tomato chutney 😆 My good day continued - I dealt with my post - my £25 Premium Bond win arrived 🥳 Wednesday tasks completed 👏 However I was inspired to continue so I emptied my large footstool storage box, glued on the ‘glider’ that had fallen off some time ago, cleaned the fabric top & went through the contents with a fine toothed comb 😉 One small bag of detritus binned & several items moved to more suitable locations. DH & I finished the hm soup ☹️ Dinner was shop bought breadcrumbed chicken pieces, mashed potatoes & peas. DSis has wudupa 👏 🙂

Vegetable box has just been delivered - potatoes, tomatoes, bag of spinach, parsnips, kohlrabi, spring greens, sprouts, Choi sum. Need to update my menu plan 😉

2022 - 1p Savings Challenge: Jan £5.00; Feb

Some success - a box of paper recycling out to trash, over 100 plastic bags and 3 bags stuffed with paper bags for our library book sale on Friday. Returned my library book and got three more - haven't been able to get there since mid-December. Took in two of my roommates overdue books as well. Spent the afternoon getting books ready for our book sale so worn out. Will spend a few more hours there tomorrow.

@Baxtersmum My budgeting is based around 2 bank accounts - the first one gets my salary & has all my DDs for the bills. I have a spreadsheet which has tabs for every month with the starting balance, each debit listed in date order, and an ongoing total so I know exactly how much there will be left at the end of each month & that gets transferred to my savings account. Because I just use that for the bills, it doesn't matter what date the DDs go out.

The second account, with a different bank, gets my "housekeeping" money on the 1st of the month, it is the account I use for my petrol, food shopping, haircuts, pet insurance, cat food etc. 

Thank you! This is kind of where I’m aiming to be, I found the spread sheet app on iPad last night, it was there all the time rather obviously called ‘Numbers’ 🤦🏼‍♀️ It is however so different to excel that I’m going to need a few YouTube tutorials in how to set it up xx

Woke up at 3.30 today but decided that was too early even for me.  I have a frog to tackle today but have 2 meetings one on line and one in person.  Plumber came yesterday and fixed item that was leaking in loft - had to replace the whole thing but I think it was supposed to be serviced annually and BG did not do it with the boiler.  They are coming back to fix broken waste in bathroom sink, leaking tap and broken radiator valve.  

157 Early morning potter whilst tea brewed so tipped out two top drawers in kitchen.  They always collect crumbs and bits.  Wiped out and things tidied - decided 23 cheap extra teaspoons were not needed (Late DH drank coffee all day and we bought some extras then and these are in addition to teaspoons that go with cutlery sets).  12 kept and 11 to CS bag.  I probably don't need any of them but not ready to get rid

160 Logged in to 6 sites to change payment details as card had changed from Visa to Mastercard.  This seemed unnecessarily time-consuming and complicated.
161 Family history query responded to - the last of several I had pending.

Pleased with myself as several items in mail yesterday and they were all actioned straight away, filed or recycled.  They did not have time to gather dust.

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger, my kitchen is tiny too , the 2 bins take up valuable space , I’m now wondering if we could get away with just the small recycling bin , then use packaging as bin bags to get rid of other stuff daily. 🤔 We are supposed to put our rubbish in black bin bags in the outside bin for collecting, so I’m wondering if there would be an issue with it falling out of smaller bags and the bin not being emptied properly. Do you tie them up / seal them in some way?

@Marpau - Family History - it depends where you are which site is best.  Would recommend you read some beginners articles on line to get started - there are lots.  Scotlandspeople is the site with most Scottish records and will have some good advice specific to Scotland.  You can PM me (if that is that allowed on this site).
