@wort and others many thanks
I am excellent at dealing with the post, refuse out, and lots of other good habits. I think overwhelmed at the moment with being distance from my dad, and knowing at some point not so far away have to sort his house, and have some major frogs that are on my mind and will take months to resolve...and sometimes life just seems harder....
Have tomorrow pm off work and have to take lots of leave by the end of March. Also having some decorating done end of next week. Wanted to postpone but letting it happen. Have two dozen tester pots (most new to me) and so many look so similar and take so much time, and so many themes on beige, or green/blue.
Let down by someone picking something up but have 4 crockery/glass items definitely to go and going to ask DD2 if she likes some things - part of reason is that she may want some when leaves home but if all are 'ugly' in her mind then no need to keep for her. DD1 took a few things but things she bought are much nicer. Reconciling myself that most of little/no value but may make the CS a few £/pennies.
Reading progress from so many, and count recognising where I am with things as moving forward

Thank you @weenancyinAmerica I have used Scotlands people but am looking at cost effective ways as I don't need the actual documents just the information. I will look at family search.12

my heart feels for you. It is hard. Just one day at a time, that's all anyone can do. Lean on us as much as you want. I have found the support here, something that you are part of, invaluable. Made me feel less alone.
You are doing your best for everyone. Rest at night secure in that knowledge.
much love and virtual hugs as you can bear.......

2022 - late to the decluttering party but have been dipping in and out to keep up to date on the amazing progress.
1/52 - I wanted to kick off this year by putting a neat and tidy Christmas decorations box back into the loft but I immediately encountered a frog. One sentimental decoration was broken. I couldn't fix the decoration as I couldn't find superglue. A number of shops were tried but no superglue to be found.
I'm pleased to report that superglue purchased, decoration fixed and tidy box back in the loft at last.
And I'm off. 😁16 -
Bala, thank you so much ..definitely helping. Glad to see you and Tiggy went for a walk and a bag to the CS. I think clothes can be hard to part with (along with others things) as they may remind us of good times, or we don't want to let go of the part of one that is the person who does x or y. For me make up was abit like that and jewellery - its saying I'm not that glam person that I thought I may be sometime!
Realise if decorators coming have to tidy abit (alot). Embarrassed showing BG man around (he fixed it - another BG coming round to see if I can be on deal they signed me on and then unsigned me). Anyhow realised that I have space in the eaves where the Xmas tree passed on went, so spare duvets and one of suitcases in there (will revisit another time). 168
Seven items in CS bag and not coming out so counting 169 - 175.
Hoping I can follow the idea from lovely people here if listed for a week and doesn't sell goes to CS.
Popping in here is if not being in the TLC carriage itself having the trolley through the carriage dispensing little sachets of concentrated TLC and virtual hugs x11 -
Evening all, sorry just thought of Dixon of Dock Green for a minute 😂 I managed some decluttering this week and the results are, in no particular order :-
£'s to my dentist for x rays 😢 Sadly the outcome wasn't great and now have another appointment for treatment 😟
1 Non fiction book on tyres
107 CD roms from the office with more to follow, DH has to check each one before they can go. Luckily DH found a copy of the "This is your life" DVD we made for my late Mum's 80th birthday and it's now safely in my memory box.(My Dad has the original)
92 plastic cd rom jewel cases and 9 paper ones.
Stack of paperwork ready for shredding
1 brand new short sleeved thermal vest.
I memory box as I had a larger, prettier one for xmas so transferred the contents and had a trip down memory lane )
Some old birthday cards and xmas cards, no idea why I kept any of them.
Large xmas bag full of cardboard packaging/boxes, left in the shed until there was room in the cardboard recycling and then forgotten 🤨
Several empty medication boxes.
Take care all

No decluttering to report today, but had an offer accepted on a house yesterday! Once my exam is over, I might declutter a bottle of something fizzy! 🍾🥂15
