Hi Peeps,
popping into here I need to grab a seat in the TLC carriage for now as I he definately decluttered my brain power this weekI love the description that @TC77 used little sachets of TLC (very portable)
DH has done good this week at making the tea each evening, he has dug out bits from the freezer which is making a bit more space in there and also improving on the NSD's. Have just under half of our house keeping budget left and pay day is next week so hoping to stash a bit of cash
I have put bits into the places where they belong and managed to throw out some bits and small boxes.
DH was asked if he could during the day put polystyrene around my Jasmin, the leaves were looking a bit damaged and wanted to protect them from any further frost for now. Came home to find bubble wrap to one side in the kitchen and the large step ladders outside towards the fencing sort of in the middle of no where
when I asked why they were there he said he'd lost his temper trying to wrap the Jasmin up in the bubble wrap.... now that plant is asleep for winter and has shed all its leaves and the bulk of it is 6ft high.
Now the 2 pots of Jasmin (that I was referring to) both have their leaves and are in potted plants.
Have a good weekend

@OWD_nana I'd do the stuff you can see makes a difference if you're getting disheartened and save the paperwork to a few bits a day. That way, there isn't a big tump of stuff to do at once.Decluttered a dressing gown neither of us wears [ CS bags up to four now] and a huge load of dead skin and beasties from hoovering the electric blanket. I couldn't believe how much was getting sucked out of there and felt very slovenly afterwards. So then I cleaned the bathroom and hoovered upstairs between all the floorboard cracks to suck up the dirt there, cleaned the bedroom windowsill and hoovered half a cat off the curtains where they brush against it to go on the windowsill. Again, felt very slovenly. Noticed upstairs net has many more claw marks than I previously thought so will need two new nets for up and downstairs [ thanks cats thinking they can reach birds through windows - if anyone has any suggestions on cat proof net equivalents, I'm all ears] Moved the mattress by sliding it around so I could see to hoover under the bed, so all in all today I have decluttered a large amount of dust bunnies and skin and bed beasties.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

Deni_debt-free_dreamer - I spend a lot of time in my dreams decluttering. Wakes me up at night and one of the major reasons I came on this site. Today we had our monthly book sale. We made $358.10 (264.18 in Pounds Sterling) in five hours. Considering we sold the books for 25 cents each (18p) and the DVDs for $1 (74p) we did pretty well. And people were very happy with the stuff they bought - that is the best part. We have the sales once a month.12

@-taff I have floor-length cheapy IKEA plain nets & floor length curtains in my bedrooms which allow the cat to sit on the windowsill (accessed via my dressing table or a CoD) so no fighting through except when she falls off! Downstairs on my french doors I have fine white string curtains which double up as fly curtains when the doors are open 😉2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

For those who are disheartened just sit back in the TLC carriage - they come round regularly with tea and cakes (even wine on my last trip in First Class). I find other people's decluttering gives me ideas many of which I have followed and general encouragement. I am not yet at maintenance level as there are still papers and photos (boxes full) etc but I have done most of the house. When I open a drawer or cupboard to put something away I cast a fresh eye over it to see if there is anything I do not use or have too many of. Thus this week whilst routinely emptying dishwasher I also released a bundle of spare teaspoons and 3 of my 8 two pint pyrex bowls. I suspect I had the bowls from my late mum and mil's cupboards in there. I also cleaned out the cutlery drawers as I had 5 minutes to spare.
180 Found home in garage for large shelving unit (removed from study in last move round). Allocated shelves on it for random stuff in garage ie Gardening bits; spare toiletries and cleaning stuff. I can't keep food items in garage as I have occasional small furry visitors but spare washing powder etc is fine. I now have somewhere to put extra stock if I see the items I use regularly on offer.
181 Long but interesting zoom meeting last night. Things I needed to do done straight away before I went to bed so all up to date. They did not have the chance to grow from tadpoles to frogs.
181 Pile of papers sorted through whilst meeting was running - half went to recycling the others still to decide.
182 Whilst drinking morning tea, I took small bundle of random postcards from box I have sitting on side in study. More recent used ones to recycling bin after stamps cut off for charity envelope; older ones still to decide about; modern unused ones kept with stationery for competition entries.
I've not had little ones all week but they are coming this afternoon to go swimming and out to tea. Staying over and DS2 is coming here to cook Sunday lunch tomorrow. I have a turkey breast joint I got in YS section for £4 reduced from £18 just after Christmas. Off to farm shop to get veggies for tomorrow and a quick nip into Mr T. I keep driving past the tip when it is open and I have nothing to throw away!!2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Anyway I'm not quite sure what to do with myself now until he wakes up ! I've been wondering whether my burst of energy to declutter was a diversionary tactic from the Tax Return- I hope my enthusiasm doesn't wane now it's done! I guess we will see!!!!
