Wednesday is another dry clear day & doesn’t seem so cold. I am the first one up & drinking my first cuppa. Straight into cheerleading 🙂
What a beautiful sentiment, wort 🤗
Thanks for offering hugs, marrob 🤗 Great decluttering especially DH’s pension frog 👏
Very funny Suffolksue “They’ve got their own tat, they don’t need mine” 😂
Great work clearing a frog, florianatwobob 👏 Not a very useful timeline so I hope you can pin them down 🤞
Such a shame about the books thriftwizard 😔 but well done on getting them & various bits & pieces to the Tip 👏 You have been keeping very busy & I wish you every success on your stall 👏🙂
You might be stuck in the buffet car Deni_debt-free_dreamer but you are still managing to declutter shredding 👏
Good news about your laptop Gem-gem 🙂👏 & fingers crossed about retrieving the files on the memory sticks 🤞
The book sounds great & has already inspired you to do some Excellent decluttering EnergyShifter 👏
Great work ilovetea 👏 remember all those little bits of decluttering soon add up 🙂
shabbychic12, asking for help is not a weakness - I will bet that if someone asks you to help you do help 😉 From my pov I think people like to feel needed - it is good for their self esteem & means you can get things done quicker 😉 Apologies if that sounds a bit preachy but I worry that you might hurt yourself moving large items 😞
Excellent work Guineapigsqueaks 👏
Good work TC77 👏 and well done on moving along a frog 🙂 Do you think BG complaints dept. are reading MSE? 😉 There are a few people here who are in maintenance mode on their decluttering & hopefully they will pop in & confirm how much easier it is to find ‘stuff’ & how much easier it is to keep things clean & tidy 😉
Liverpool_Anne I think it is the combination of poor sleep & cold weather (plus interminable January) that makes me feel tired & lethargic 😔 although you have still managed to do quite a few tasks 👏 Hope the funeral goes as well as these things can.
Lovely to hear that you are feeling more positive stellata 🙂 Shame on those who called you lazy 😠 Little bits here & there will soon join up & you will have a large decluttered area 🙂 Celebrate the wins & be kind to yourself - a good mantra for you to live ny 😉👏
Oh dear weenancyinAmerica 😔 how depressing but keep up the good work 👏 as hopefully your housemates might absorb the decluttering bug by osmosis 🤞Is there a way to turn your dream into reality? Don’t forget to pop into The TLC Carriage & have a chat 🙂
donna73, You are already officially aboard The EDT 👏 as you are on my passenger manifesto 🙂 A combination of clearing areas & counting items out is a great way to see how far you have already come 👏 I have just noticed your signature motto - perfect for keeping you inspired 👏
Well said GrannyKate 👏 and you are correct about the only rules - “being kind to yourself and others” The world would be a far better place if more people followed those rules 🙂 Well done on dealing with frogs 👏
donna73 not sure that Frogs are mentioned in my initial post - oh they are 🥳 Hopefully you can see my initial post on Page 1 🤞 Ooh cake 🍰, lovely ☺️
Excellent cheerleading GrannyKate 👏
What a great list donna73 - so well organised & very inspiring 👏 Btw I really like your patchwork ☺️ “ since making the list , I’m eyeing up everything in the house to see what else can go 😂” I have just picked myself up off the floor as I laughed so hard 😂
Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather ruby_eskimo ☹️ Is it just my imagination or are all these large companies failing at customer service & then trying to blame their customers 😖 Fingers crossed that you get an efficient & proficient person on the phone 🤞
Well said Foofoopuppy 👏 & in fact such great observations that I am awarding you a medal 🏅 Excellent work on slaying two frogs 👏 Fingers crossed that the shoes are all that you wish them to be 🤞
-taff, thank you for sharing your experience of maintenance decluttering 👏 I am so inspired that I have just dragged a pile of packaging stuff from a corner of the dining room & scattered it all over the floor 😉 Most of it can be donated to the CS - but I will check & see if they would like it otherwise it will be disposed of as appropriate 😉 One medal 🏅 on its way 🙂👏
Here goes & I will report back later 🙂

Thanks @Mrs_Salad_Dodger re the patchwork 😀 I made that last year from fabric in my well stocked craft stash. This year I’m going to make all the birthday cards I need, from other stash items, I did most last year but did end up buying a few, going for 100% this year! Hope you have a great day

Thank you MRS S D for the cheerleading info it's so brilliant as I can't keep up with the threads as now trying to work 60 hours a week to make up for my bad back and no wages. Decluttering a distant hope xx

Today I’m going to attempt a budget my income all comes in on different days and outgoings are again all over the place, ideally I’d like all my outgoings to go out on one day, I’m really not sure how you achieve this though, if any one has any ideas please shout up, they are mostly direct debits.
6 items into bag for DS1 to re home.
7 things into the bin or recycling.
1 item of clothing into the clothes bank
Sooooo tired today after trip to hairdressers that I’m just lying on the sofa watching Decluttering programs for inspiration 😴

I think of myself as 50% of the way through decluttering - I have made great strides this last year but I know that more can go. One of the positive things is how easy it can be to have a quick tidy up as things have a home to go back to and I have left little spaces for when I find similar things. I am trying to get into the habit of reviewing stuff routinely. This morning I went to put my swimming towel away in the small airing cupboard in my hall. Pulled everything out - found a better home for two items and two more unwanted things to CS bag. Three small shelves in there - 2 used for storage but I am able to keep the third empty and available for airing items, drying wet shoes etc. It's so nice when you can open a door and see everything is tidy and you know exactly what is in there. I found a small space in rearranged porch to keep a small CS bag - not in the way but it reminds me to pick it up when I go out and drop off at CS. I sat down to watch TV for a while with cup of tea and picked up file of odd family history related papers. Third went straight in recycling and the others are on desk to find proper home for them - will probably scan in - I found these oddments all over the place and had been collecting them together in a filing box 'like with like'. happy that I have tackled several small frogs today.
149 Booked myself on 2 online free talks for January and February 150 Booked place on Conference in May 151 Three books ordered for one of my groups. Decided ebooks wouldn't work for this but I do have an allocated space on study shelf for them and lots of books went to CS this week. 152 Collated information from various sources for a voluntary role I have taken on. Happy I now have the most up to date spreadsheet and have shared it as needed. Feel on top of that job now. 153 Banking updated 154 Child's apron to CS - too small for my GCs now 155 Seat/stool pads to CS - they are just annoying 156 Quick look round front garden and I found enough leaves and dead foliage to fill up gardening recycle bin for collection tomorrow
Onward - hopefully local plumber will be here soon. Let's not talk about BG!!
I tried to handle a "Sky' issue but gave up - DS2 will have to sort for me.
Thanks @TC77 😀 I’ve always written lists on bits of scrap paper and thrown them away too. This is the first year I’ve tried a bullet book and I’m already finding it so useful. Things I’m tracking have pages at the front and I’m writing daily to-do lists at the back. It’s really helpful to be able to look back at the lists and see when I did something eg for chasing up someone who hasn’t got back to me , or something that’s not arrived in the post etc

Working today but quite a few unfilled appointments which has given me time to continue decluttering. This organisation pays regardless of whether someone attends or not (not everywhere I work does this ) so I can really appreciate the spare time. Took stuff, including desk chair to charity shop this morning so I feel really on top of things at the moment.

So much for the bright start to Wednesday, it is now dark & raining ☹️ I am currently very pleased with myself (thank you for the inspiration-taff 👏) - the packaging & large supply of plastic bags from the corner of the dining room has been sorted & also the small supply of plastic bags in the kitchen cupboard have been thinned out 🙂 The kitchen cupboard now just has a supply of bread bags & small bags contained in a jug (I do not have a kitchen bin - kitchen is small & I now throw out detritus each night 😉) The corner of the dining room now has a supply of bags for life for the weekly sm trip & a cloth bag containing the small amount of packaging materials that I kept for our use. Also managed to get rid of some rubbish & some boxes & paper packaging 🙂 I now have a large bag of bubble wrap & 29 plastic bags of various sizes packed ready for the CS 👏 Just phoned BRC who would like the bubble wrap & CR who would like the plastic bags - RESULT 👏 I will try to deliver tomorrow 🤞but I am counting now 😉 Almost caught up on daily tasks - only 1 left to do for today 🥳
91 - 95 Three cardboard boxes, paper packaging, cardboard packaging - recycled 96 - 97 Bag of detritus, plastic packaging - binned 98 - 99 Bag of bubble wrap, bag of carrier bags to CS

You are very welcome Blackberrycurved 🙂 Fingers crossed that the 60 hour working weeks will be a short lived need 🤞
Sorry I cannot offer any help with your budgeting conundrum, Baxtersmum ☹️ However well done on the decluttering 👏 Enjoy your down time & hopefully you will see something that you can incorporate to move you forward on your decluttering journey 🤞
Wow GrannyKate 🤩 all your hard work is paying off 👏 and the ‘like with like’ is a real winner 👏🙂 You are an inspiration to us all & so another Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 🙂 You are reminding us of the benefits of decluttering & also that once we get our ‘Decluttering Eyes’ open we can see decluttering & tidying opportunities everywhere 😉 Excellent decluttering & dealing with frogs 👏 Fingers crossed that the local plumber will be successful 🤞 I have an account with SKY & find them difficult to deal with so pass over to DH to deal with 😉
I agree TC77 - donna73’s notebook is fabulously organised & neat 🙂
Very organised donna73 👏
Excellent decluttering EnergyShifter & rather nice that you are getting paid to declutter 👏🥳

Baxter'sMum - If your out goings are Direct Debits you can contact them and ask for the due date to be moved or if they are accounts you have online you can go online and do it. I actually like things going out at different times as I have income going in on different days during the month. If you want it all to go out at once avoid the 1st my bank manager told me aim for about the 5th, so if I'm asked I say the 5th.
