I have just managed a 45 minute burst of activity (mainly inspired by roundtuit 😊) 🥳 First task was to wash down front door, inside & out + wipe down skirting in our tiny hallway plus vacuumed the inside doormat & floor in cloakroom & hallway. Then upstairs to hunt for the matching handbag for my wedding outfit. I had a vague idea of where it was 🤞which lead to me completely sorting out the shelf above the hanging space in my wardrobe. Yippee it was there 🥳 I now have a list of contents & the shelf is neat & tidy. It should be noted that the wardrobe room is also the Room of Doom & I managed to put away several items on the newly sorted shelf, relocated a few items from other parts of the wardrobe + one item relocated downstairs 🙂 Now sitting down with a coffee after which I will have another spurt of activity.
1756 - 1757 Small amount of detritus from handbag, broken watch (why, oh why did I keep it 🤔)
Now, now TC77 wagging finger emoji. You are still decluttering & every item out or task completed is a win 👏

Thank you so much for all your encouraging comments. I was a bit concerned that I'd tsunamied the thread over the weekend and was being a nuisance with all my posts. But it was working so I didn't want to stop.
Anyhoo I've been to the paid stuff, and called at Mr L on my way home. Groceries have been put away, I've got changed, and....drum roll please....I've brought down the bin bag as promised. I must confess that I have driven my colleague nuts by frequently saying I wonder what's in that bin bag?' 😊. Obsessive? Me? Nodding vigorously. I prefer to describe myself as 'tidal' I definitely have periods of ebb and flow.
Soooo let's see what's in this bag then...
(1 charity bag that comes through the door removed from stash and reversed ready to hold cs donations)
1 x Toy Story duvet cover with matching pillow case - cs
1 pr Umbro football socks - cs
2 prs boys underpants - cs
Cor - inside the bin bag, as well as other stuff, there's a carrier bag full of boys underwear. I'll go through that later. I need food

Thanks Mrs SD but progress is slow, one of the curtains put up in office, as need more glider hooks which are odd size and none of my bags of spares fit, and one curtain not put up in spare room as need to unscrew part of rail and I can't ring. DB may be able to help!. Sorted out bank issue, and realise I've been chasing the wrong company about something! Off to book club, not finished the book but will be returned to the library when I have. Long list of frogs to try and get done tomorrow.
Take care all, and anything done, including maintenance is a step in the right direction!9 -

I did have another spurt of activity 😉 Vacuumed the rest of downstairs (including moving dining room furniture). Rotated sofa cushions on both sofas. Sorted ‘packaging corner’ - neater & have 30 plastic bags of various sizes (counting as 3), 2 gift bags, bubble wrap & a circular gift box for the CS. Also recycled a small cardboard box & binned scraps of bubble wrap & padded envelopes. Now done for today & hoping I can be as productive tomorrow 🤞
1758 Small cardboard box recycled
1759 - 1760 Bubble wrap & padded envelopes binned
1761 - 1767 Plastic bags (3), bubble wrap, 2 gift bags, gift box to CS
TC77 all progress is to be applauded, however slow 👏 it indicates that we are in the right frame of mind to deal with decluttering physical items, tasks & frogs. I have several frogs to deal with so I will join you tomorrow in at least starting one 😊
DH is now home - he has had a good day - bright & sunny & more importantly no rain 🙂 I am just prepping dinner - salmon fillets, boiled potatoes, carrots & tender stem broccoli.

@roundtuit could you slip whatever you’re having into my morning tea please? I could do with a shot of enthusiasm.Instead of decluttering I have this week acquired (for free via our local reuse FB page) a new fire surround! As DSis and I carried it home yesterday (just under a km from the pick up to our house) we did get a few funny looks, advice and a lot of interest from a ploddy black Labrador who had a good sniff or me and the surround (and fortunately didn’t pee up either). It does need some TLC but here it is in sort of situ framing the jungle of houseplants!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

All busy on here. I have been busy with childcare duties today and will be tomorrow. B and SiL down from Manchester. We fed them last night along with parents in law. Doing it again tom so going to be up early to prep a slow cooker stew before I go.
I have several bags in the car for the CS, just not dropped them off yet.
Came home and DH had cleaned the dishwasher and 'fridge. He had also put the washing out. I am very lucky.
