The nightmare continues…. now DD has a tummy bug and is feeling very sorry for herself. She was sick 3 times in the night and called me in for cuddles more times. The washing machine is busy today and now I have to catch up with all my chores, get all my full time work done and pack/get everything ready for our few days away on Sat whilst also looking after a sick baby. No sleep for me 😭. I already have a thumping headache this morning due to tiredness.

Later I am hitting the clothse to produce a capsule wardrobe for my cruise in a few weeks. I may need to fill some gaps, esp where shoes are concerned. Seeing as it is nice out I will be doing some pottering and potting on in the garden this afternoon.

Messaged DS. He asked me to cut up and get rid of the UCAS card - done. And would like me to hang on to the Football Trivia tin as he's sure more cards will surface as I continue decluttering. It can go back in the drawer ready for this eventuality.

Combi boiler was fitted in 2011. The bumph supplied was in the drawer that I emptied this morning. I live in Social Housing and the boiler is serviced every year. No-one has ever asked for any of this stuff. I'm keeping the User's Guide, and a 3 amp fuse. P&S can have the 2 screws. The rest will be binned / recycled.

On Friday I decluttered an appointment, had a taxi each way. Came back with more than I went with. A new CPAP mask, a new hose and lots of supplies. However the old mask and hose were binned and all the packaging. Spent rather a lot in the fairly useless m'n's outlet at the hospital - it's mostly geared to meal deals, ready meals and a few basics (couldn't buy a bunch of bananas, only for sale as singles as part of a meal deal). With a bit of fudging I ended up with 3 meal deals, some deli bits (expensive but absolutely delicious - will ask for cauliflower pickled in turmeric and prawns in paprika as presents or buy them myself as a festive treat), no celery and only boring lettuce but bought tiny tomatoes, mushrooms and baby carrots for healthy nibbles and bought 2 packs of teacakes to toast as I've been craving them.
Went upstairs as soon as I got in (asked DS3 to transport all my belongings for me) and stayed there most of Saturday. Yesterday some of my symptoms were going away but I felt 'fragile'. Today another batch of symptoms has arrived (sore throat and my face feels itchy but no visible rash). I watched a Denzel film and most of a series of a Stephen Poliakoff drama (1930's Black debating team and a 1930s jazz band) both on offer because October is Black History Month - always interesting things to watch. So not a lot done but on Saturday I took out the rubbish, various recycling and pots downstairs (I am slowly emptying the DW to reload - I have cutlery in my cutlery drawer).
Yesterday I managed to toddle to little Arseda for a mini top up shop and my food delivery came at the beginning of my one hour slot - by the time I had struggled downstairs, DS3 had brought in all the heavy stuff I just had one bag of fruit and a few fresh bits to deal with and today I've started on mum's estate accounts (most of the receipts are in a plastic wallet and numbered but I never got round to sticking them onto sheets of A4) so I've decluttered some of the printer paper and half a roll of sellotape.
I was pleased to see that I had more money in my bank account than I thought but needed to work out the details and also see how much is my brother's money and what is mine - we were due to meet last Thursday but I called it off as my brother could die if he comes into contact with COVID or even a cough or cold. My niece messaged me later to say she was also down with lurgy. i finished off a bottle of shower cleaner by spraying anything withing reach (bathroom window and fixtures but also door frames and bits of the walls - it's five years since they were painted but yet another thing that needs more space and I think someone else will be doing them this time). I've kept the spray bottle as it was an unscrew one (so many are fused on and they can't be reused for hm cleaning solution). The cotton wool soaked in vinegar that I used on the taps and other bits were used to scrub some awkward corners and grouting before being binned and more toiletries have been finished off.
I'm giving myself 10 points because it was so hard just doing those few bits (I'm still working at doing 5 minutes cleaning every time I go in the bathroom). So 270/ 2022. I will be decluttering my diary (A5 hardbacked) as the spine is peeling off. I'd already bought aa mid year diary so will switch to that for the time being and work on transferring any important info into another A5 notebook.8 -
I've brought a bin bag down from the Room of Doom. No idea what's in it.
Let's see what I can do with it. It's double bagged, so
1 holey bin bag - binned
60 piece Jigsaw Puzzle - cs (counted to make sure it's all there)
2 Crossword Fun books- recycled
2 Lego comics - recycled
Toy car - cs
Star Wars Lego badge - cs
1 basket of WWE accessories to go back upstairs until I find the ring they go with.
Waiting for decisions by DS on 2 further items.
Bin bag binned.
Well that wasn't too onerous 😊
